American hogger on a&e right now

Ok... honestly the only reason I like the show is for the hot lil blondie. I won't say the show is 10x better than HGW, I do think its funny how the shows received different reactions from the forum and it seems totally based on the fact that the L3 guy came on here and ran his mouth and rubbed people on this forum the wrong way with his attitude and braggin. I don't see these dogs on the new show acting all that impressive.... in fact I see the same stuff I saw in the other show.. editted 2-3 min clips that don't accurately show or reveal anything to me about how the dog hunts or acts in real life... but no one seems to rip this guy for it on every other post.  Guess its cause he never came on this forum and talked up how great Craiger or Rooster was and how he was the best hog dog ever.  To me both shows aint that great and both probably bring us more bad publicity than good.

Pretty well sums up my thoughts too, with a couple of exceptions.

I haven't seen Krystal Campbell freak out and overly dramatize a barbed wire poke on one of her dogs, like Krystal White did.  Nor have I observed any of the Campbell's make outrageous claims about their dogs, online or on the show.  It appears to me that none of their dogs are used to hunting in cut gear, and that in the interest of being PC, they have opted to use cut gear on their dogs, and it is effecting their hunts.

I don't like how the editors try to make the hogs out like man killers, but I guess that is for the ratings.

Based on the previews, I had very low expectations of the show. Seeing the actual show, I have been entertained.

God you're right. I forgot how annoying L3s wife sounded. Not hearing her talk does make it 10 times better already. for L3s sake I hope that over dramatical acting was a staged tv persona.

maybe just maybe you are right ! could be the difference because the Campbells were not on here telling everybody how better/humane/effecient there methods were prior to having TV making stuff look silly, just that he had been hunting hogs since moby dick was a sardine, who can get ruffled about that?

jls41 has been recording them, so one night, after I got home at midnight, I began watching them. As time went on, I found myself 100% completely disguisted with the bickering "kids", entertained by the old man, and positive this was not going to be beneficial to hog doggin'. For some reason, I was unable to turn it off, anxiously awaiting the next bit of wisdom from the old timer. That is the goal of TV production.

If he would leave those snotty kids at home, hunt with a few of his old buddies, I'd likely be hooked for life, but I doubt that would generate the ratings they're after.

I find it entertaining, at times, but won't be postponing any activities because it's coming on at a certain time.

I think its entertaining, I did not like how Robert ran up to Krystal like he was gonna hit her considering she handles hogs & dogs better than he does. He is just a big pudden if you ask me!! I think if they had some good dogs the show maybe better but they really can't show the dogs baying, they stumble onto the hogs and the dogs catch. I think if these shows are doing anything they are probably making people want to get into hog hunting.

The show is better than the other one for sure but that dont take much, the old man is out of shape, his dogs are too and how the heck can be afford all of the gasoline he is burning for 1 or 2 $20 hogs, its a shame somebody with real good dogs that are in shape and hunted and in a clean kennel and truck cant be found catching 10 or 15 hogs, gees my rat terriers could catch hogs where he is huntng, they are like fleas seems like to me, and what a sorry trashy spit stained door omg, I thought maybe they would have some hunting mules or good horses they could shoot off of or rope off of some episode???
  After watching 3 episodes i have figured out the only reason he is on the show is because they show him like a dumb white trash redneck to sell the ratings to city types, give me a break!!!!!  He cant even make hog sauage!!! WTF!!!!!lol
I would starve to death trying to get paid doing what they have been showing, something worth doing is worth doing right, i had high hopes but he has let Texas down for sure, they talk the talk walk the walk but dont catch nuff hogs for melol

just my opinion and question . the producer of american hogger also produced wild justice that portrayed all doggers as low life poachers . and now this show with a bunch of illiterate looking hog doggers ? maybe a hidden agenda to keep making dog people look bad in the eyes of vast majority of the public that doesn't know any better ?  doing a pretty good job of it . if i was somebody lookin for somebody to do hog control and saw this show i can garrenty i'd call a trapper before i'd let a bunch of doggers come in  j.m.o.p.

You could have something there for sure, if they were really trying to do damage control they would set out 20 traps at least on a 1000 acre ranch and run them every morning and hunt hogs at nite, catching one shoat on camera or 1 big shoat is not going to change an population of hogs for sure, if this guy owned 200 traps and was running them on 20 ranches every day maybe he could call himself a hog trpper, there are just so many hogs dogs can not control them thats plain to see, they need a bounty on them and the right to retreive a dog law needs to be enacted, as soon as those hogs get a diease that shifts into humans or cross's into cows or deer they will pass one asap, until then they will continue to be out of control until finally exploding into some kind of empidemic!!   Campbells or L3 are not going to make a dent in the hog population of texas thats for sure, they are going to have to hire about 5 trappers and hog animal damage control per county before it is over, they need a program to start reducing numbers before its too late!!  Problem is the hog is worthless if you catch 10 of them a nite it wont pay for the fuel it takes,,,

WTF is going on with all the hog hunting shows??  Lady Hoggers now too??  Sure that's gonna b a horrible disaster too.  Guess me n Krystal should have done it. At least it would have been a real representation of hog hunting with dogs.  LOL.

Well my wife put the hdlgirls together and they had a fallen out. The lady hoggers stole the idea as it it was there own as my wife ask them to come in on the deal. The one grew up around hunting and will give her credifor atleast being around the sport of hog hunting but did not even own her own dog when they started  but the other could  not tell her left from her right. D never hunted just rode on the shirt tales of the other girls.  If I was a beating man I would beat a big chunk a change there is alot of editing that is going on in lady hoggers cause I know the truth.

I wish I had a 5500 acre ranch to hunt like that I sure as hell would not be gripping its to big for me are us!  You can expect to catch one are two hogs a nite maybe none if your dogs never get more than 150 yds from you.  Those dogs need to dig deep n that country find those hogs they are not just gonna jump out and run across the road for ya.

To tell the truth Jerry is smart enuff to overfeed those dogs do they dont range and suck the muffler and hunt in th eheadlgihts, I bet he is charging a ton of money to those ranchettes eatten up with hogs, he has to be charging by the day or something, if he was charging by the hog he would not have tobacca or beer to drink, anybody want to guess he is getting $500 to come out???

i think the fella that was on the show that posts on here should know what caliber dogs the old man has. i think alot of what we seen was just some hollywood B/S!!! and if he can get $500 just to show up, I say more power to him.

It's getting to be more of a soap opera and less about hog doggin' in my opinion.  Not saying it's not decent entertainment, because I don't mind watching it.  And if I were single, about 20 years younger and a whole lot better looking, I'd darn sure be asking Miss Lea out.  Even still, she'd probably turn me down but just to hear her say "No" would be worth the effort.     She's a heck of a woman right there!
