I liked that they were showing the conversation back and fourth amoungst the characters and them teasing each other not just a "the one or two characters talking to the character like they are about to jump out of your skin you should be scared cause that dog was doing all it could to save your life !
They were like "damn" kinda dissapointed with my brothers decision in buying dogs I sure hope he knew what he was doing" where as some other people on the message forums and on TV always make their crap out to be the BEST GAME IN TOWN ALL THE TIME if it makes a mistake then they come back and say WE MEANT TO DO THAT thats part of our strategy!!!! thats our STYLE!

Sure its gonna be staged for television, but atleast you get an idea sometimes it dont work out the way you want it too, He said "thats why they call it hunting." I am sure the old man will have plenty of other one liners to keep it interesting

Jerry,

I thought it went something like this.

"I want $1,000.00 for each of the cur dogs, but if you'll take this damn lacy pup off my hands I'll let you have all three for 1k." Grin

I think the real hog hunters on here understand the real passion of hog hunting and for entertainment purposes the rest of the country could have enjoyed the show.  I have deer hunted in Texas, but I live in Florida.  I know the woods are tough in Texas, just like here in Florida, but these shows make hog hunting look easy.  It seems like it becomes a lot of work for me, when I have tied a big hog with a piece of nylon rope and now have to drag him out of a swamp or out of a palmetto ledge.

I wish I could sell some dogs for those prices.

If you visit my website (c4kennels.com) you can see a highlight video that turned out pretty well and I could have made a series, if all I had to do was hunt.

My wife thought it was a joke and that the dogs could not have ate any of my kibbles and bits.

well, if the dogs were to roll out their wouldn't be any hog chasing footage because the dogs would be way ahead of the camera crew...the terrain looked good for catching lots of hogs...

I thought the show was really good with lots of good entertainment...

Hey, I liked it.  Very entertaining.  I can't throw stones, me and my potlickers are far from perfect, but like them, we are out there having a good time.  2 thumbs up on the show.
And the ladies aren't too bad on the eyes either.  I was impressed by their 'can-do' attitude as well, those ladies jumped right in and got the job done, no hesitation.   Not to leave out the brother, he seemed like a real honest, hard worker, and no BS type of man.
I've got the DVR set to record every show and hope to see many more of them.
Just my 2 cents.
