Haha yeah maybe since I’m Hollywood I can pick up a few more places to hunt here around Cypress Grin. They cut out a lot of film that had me talking. They prob only used about 10% of what they filmed. Guess they don’t like my voice. The whole time I was thinking Man I hope the East Texas forum crew doesn’t eat me alive. Haha. Ol Jerry is just like that off camera. It was a great experience to see how it all goes down. I can tell you being on both sides of the fence it was hard filming. It was in the middle of July and all I wanted to do was hunt. It was hard having the crew want to stop every five min to film your hunting or not being able to get down and hunt certain places because the camera can’t get a good shot. I can also see how the dogs don’t look as good. With all the lights, crew and noise the dogs don’t know what’s going on. It blew my mind how many people they have behind the scene. It’s like sticking a woods dog in a bay pen for the first time with people everywhere. The show is corny for us as doggers and way over dramatized but I guess that’s how they get the rating and keep people watching.

I like the show, and the folks are pretty darn entertaining.  (Some by the things they say, others just by being there!)

We as fellow hunters have to keep in mind that the program isn't some "how-to" instructional documentary.  It's a made-for-television show designed nothing more than for entertainment purposes.  From that perspective, I've enjoyed it so far.  Nice to see the parts when things go as planned, as well as when all heck breaks loose.

Kinda what we all assumed, but thanks for setting it straight.  Again, I enjoy the show and not to make fun of them at all.  They are normal people and just down home good folks.  Those ladies have no problem jumping into the fray, that's for sure.  I kinda feel bad for Robert, havin' to referee the whole bunch.    Grin

I watched it last night, didn't really understand the point of them calling their dogs back over and over. Isn't the point to let the dogs hunt? The old man is hilarious though, was worth watching

Some people do not understand the producer is editing out clips to make a storyline, show certain shots and sounds. Heck if it was reality...it would be a few dogs hauling ass, caught hog, walking back to the truck. They are wanting stuff for the general public to see, imagine and hear....even though much of that may not apply to the hog or hunt in general.

I enjoy the show myself .  Its a lot more believable than the other shows.  One thing about it lots of things go wrong and it reminds me of some of our own hunts.

That Little Gal is a hand in great shape and just right the other one is a hand to but needs to get n woods shape,  need to put her on the treadmill for a couple hours a day and she would be ready to rock ! lol

The funny thing to me is that they use sub titles for when Mr. Campbell speaks but they I didn't think that they needed them .... until I saw that who ever is typing the sub titles in doen't understand what he is saying.   Cheesy   Did anyone else notice all of the mistakes in the subtitles? I might have to apply for the job because what ever yankee is doing the sub titles cant understand Mr. Campbell.  Cheesy

DJ I noticed that to. I didn't know if the guy just couldn't understand him, or was trying to dramatize just how "country" he sounded. I think one time they typed dune when he said doing lol but I'm with you no subtitles needed.
