American hogger on a&e right now

I record the shows and watch when I am in for a day or so. I know I am still fairly new to this, at a couple of years now, but I have hunted with a couple guys here and what I see ion TV and the way we have hunted are a ways apart.

Even with my small pack, Id love to have access to a 5000 acre plus ranch. I have a couple of friends with dogs too and we could team up on em just like we do now. And our dogs get out of sight and dont need a spot light to show em where a hog is.

All that said, I think Jerry is funny as hell and the gals are pretty easy on the eyes.

But if Robert really paid $1000 for Craiger, then my Blade dog is worth about $25K

It's getting to be more of a soap opera and less about hog doggin' in my opinion.  Not saying it's not decent entertainment, because I don't mind watching it.  And if I were single, about 20 years younger and a whole lot better looking, I'd darn sure be asking Miss Lea out.  Even still, she'd probably turn me down but just to hear her say "No" would be worth the effort.     She's a heck of a woman right there!

Watched it a few weeks now, my conclusions are, the old man is still hilarious, the girl is hot and the son robert...well I'd tell him to find a new line of work..Shooting a pistol with dogs and people running around and obviously not being threatened just rubs me the wrong way (have had a bad experience with that with an idiot I hunted with)

Their dogs look like culls for the most part, except for maybe the Rooster dog.

I watch it because the old man throws in some hilarious one liners, but I really don't see the show shining any positive light on the sport.

From what I understand, Robert and the proudcers went head-to-toe about some of the stuff that LA was tring to "Holleywood up." Rob has hunted hogs for a long time and will be the first to admit that his dogs aren't the best. Jerry put number 1 and 2 in the Record on Exotics record book and held that title for quite some time. Number 1 (12 5/8 inch tusk) is mounted over his fireplace in this trophy room, along with several other good tusker boars. I know the Campbell's pretty well and the bickering bs you see on the show, just isn't them. They are a pretty close knit family that likes to have fun and stick together. Most you you would really like them, if you ever met them. It kills me "hog doggers" are bashing them. Shouldn't we be sticking together and not running our mouths, trying to degrade them?? Jerry was huning hogs before most of the people on here were even born. He's not going to claim that he is the best, nor will the rest of the family. Robert is a pretty good ole boy and will give you the shirt off of his back if he thinks you need it. Krystal is firey as hell but she is also a sweetheart. All of them know what they are doing, but when you have an editor, that doesn't, cutting and pasting, then things can get misconstrued. Holleywood came looking for them, not the other way around.

Yeah I figure most of that is just the Hollywood BS .  I like the old man myself and I kinda figured hollywood was taken it toll on most of what went down.  Am betting the old man has a lot better dogs hid out somewere.  The old man likes to let the dogs do the work not the other way around I agree.

Goes to show you what happens when you get a pot belly and sorry dogs and take the tv money, people who know better are going to say so, did somebody put a gun to his head and force him to eat, have sorry dogs, spit on his pickup door and be so out of shape it a discrace?  You are only as good as your sorriest episode on the show I say, it is his fault he is a laughing stock and his kids are as well, since he has allegely been hunting longer than anybody has he should know better, Jerry if you are readig this you need to send the money back and quit pimping yourself and kids for the money, it aint worth it, wash your filty truck and learn how to cook a hog as well, you ought to be ashamed as well on the sorry wild horse you let your kids hunt with as well, when she has her pants drug off and is in a er it might be too late!!   Buy a mule somebody else has trained before she is killed!!!  lol

Jerry has broke both legs, one of his ankles twice, has been cut my numerous hogs and is 64 years old. He's hunted, with dogs in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Mexico. He started running hounds in 1959. Were you born then? His son Robert, took out over 600 hogs in 3 days, a few years ago. If you are trying to tell me that every time you go hunting, you catch a dozen big tusker boars and never catch any little hogs. Im calling BS! You're either a liar, a wannabe, or both. There are a good many ole boys on hear that know what they are talking about, but there are a lot that just run their pie hole. I salute the real hunters!

I went to school with robert and krystal and while they are a little different they are some durn good people.  You have to remember it is not good ol boys doing the editing but people that don't know a horses ass about most of our lifestyles.  Knight if your so uppity that your going to gripe about a truck being dirty and things like that don't come with me because you won't even get in my truck lol and for that matter most I have hunted with.

We all should know what editors can do to make the show "entertaining" but it's obvious to me they are all good, honest people.  I know I can't throw stones, heck for every one I'd throw, a 100 would come flying back at me. 

I, for one, would love to meet 'em all one day and would jump at the chance to tag along on a hunt with them.  I think it would be a blast.    

For those that talk to them, tell 'em to keep up the good work and let 'em know they have supporting fans.

Knight, it's obvious that you can't do math. 600 divided by 3 is 200, just sayin. My niece in the 3rd grade could have told you that. I never said that those hogs were taken with dogs, in fact they were taken out of a helicopter. I would love to see you come out from behind your computer and talk smack about the Campbells to their face. Doubt that would happen though.

I would say there are better but not everyone has the money or ability to have some.

It's a chance takin but it won't ever happen cause hogs would over run the country..
