The pups need a 7in1 shot, you can get it from a vet or feed store..not sure if TSC has it..I believe 6 weeks is the minimal age, check the bottle or call your vet

Good luck parvo is a mutha. Keep them hydrated is the main thing, plenty of gatoraid. There are different strains and some are pretty much un treatable. GOOD LUCK

I think I would give her some iv fluids under the skin for a few days that way you have a jump on it if she does some down with it. If she is that young she is probally pretty small still maybe 20 cc couple times a day

Get you shots form your vet they should be around 10 dollars or so if they start vometing give them a !/2 pepsid to stop the vomet baytril and a broad spectrum aintibiotic if the pup wont drink give it iv fuild under the skin at the nap of the neck we use the vanguard from phiser you have to give three rounds every 3 weeks til 3 rounds are in the pup we do it at 5 8 and 11 weeks old then a 5-1 vanguard plus at 14 weeks to boost the imunities of the other bugs hep ,distemper ect
like peachy said some strains will wipe you out hope this helps Dexter

Without going into a bunch of specifics, I would *NOT* give a vaccination shot to a pup you suspect has already very recently come in contact with the virus. If a pup has already been exposed, a vaccintation will not prevent infection and can actually make things worse.

I know its sounds bad but if they start to show sure signs I learned a home remedy that does wonders if you catch it early. An old hunter from around me has been using it for 40years. I was skeptical but it works. Here it is mix 1cc of bleach with 3cc of water I squirt it down and hold the mouth shut....NO NEEDLES do not inject. Once the pup takes it it will take maybe a minute and he will throw up everything in its stomach. Get it on and I've or give it fluids orally to make sure he stays.hydrated. pup will be up in a couple days running around. Must catch early, if the pup is already low on fluids I would not recommend this. If you have a vet close I can't say taking it there wouldn't be better just thought is throw it out there

I had 3 come down with. 1 died n it took a week of 50-100cc of iv fluids under skin, 5 or so cans of sardines, a dozen eggs n a pint of plain yogart n bout 4 hrs of sleep a day. The sleep wasnt strait through either. Good luck, that chit is murder on them. Early hydration to ensure enuf water. Gatoraid oraly n 25-50cc of iv fluid 2-3x a day for 5 days n cross ur fingers

Thanks for the responses the momma wasnt able to raise the pups they were weaned at 5 weeks, the pup quit eating today, a vet told me that they will die of 2 things dehydration or infections, so I've started giving her fluids under the skin an penicillin an colloidal silver 30ppm, now it's up to the pup to see if she can hang in their. Got my fingers crossed coz theirs no chance of making the cross again the father died about a month after the gyp was breed. Thanks again Hugh

This is where u come in. Sardines to replace the iron they loose in their blood, the yogart to replinish natural accuring enzymes in their digestive system, the eggs for protien to help keep some extra nutriants in their gut. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. The pup wont eat anythn so u will need to get a food syringe n puree the food into a liquid state n squirt it down their throats. Make sure their not on the inhale stroke when u shoot it down their throat or u can send into the lungs. Good luck

can pups still get it when they are still with their momma? Immunity will only be passed to the pups through the mothers colostrum if the female had previously been vaccinated properly prior to whelping. The antibodies are passed one time...through colostrum. The belief that "as long as the pups are still nursing they are protected" is false.

If you think the pup has parvo, don't give it the 7 in 1, you will actually be giving the pup more parvo in the shot.

If she gets it there some stuff on the itnernet called parvaid. A huntin buddy have two litters come down with it and he saved all of them using it and pedialite every two hours. All the pups had two shots and still got.
