I had originally planned on not hunting today, because I had running to do, BUT.......I get off at 5:00 am and nothing is open til 8-9 sloppily I figured I might as well load the dogs and go hang out on the mtn Grin.
Nothing too exciting, some fellers I was hunting with had turned loose on one, and had seen the bear and dogs cross thru a burnt ridge, and I just happened to be at the right place at the right time. The bear had tried to cross the road but we turned it and it crossed back over the ridge.
I un loaded my dogs and went up a trail where the bear crossed and packed my dogs.
It ran down and then pulled right back up almost to the top and treed.
I got to the tree and hollred  on the radio to send in a shooter. They sent in a young boy,and he shot it out.
Ole Pete got roughed up pretty good and gonna be out a week or two, but hes alright. My two 10 month old pups out of jewels last litter have been at every tree, and progressing nicely. The little joystick gyp out of Smokey is doing fair too, but has a few quirks I don't like, but can live with.
They had found another one and turned loose on and had it jumped and was walking it on the ground, and I wanted to go help them bad, but knew I would never make it to work if I did.
So while I had all my dogs in the truck, I went home and got my two bulldogs situated to have pups and fed and watered, and got Pete doctored up, might have got 3 hrs of sleep. Gonna go again in the morning if im able.

Not sure but like couple hundred bucks for non resident license.

Doggie, I think he's gonna be alright, just needs a week or two off, to heal up. He was up and wanting to go this morning. Just sore.
