i have a balckmouth curr pit mix and i went to go check on her last night and her leg was all tangled up in wire. her foot was really swollen and cold, i dont know how long it was on there. i got it off and her foot started warming back up and the swelling started to go down. today i went to see her again and the swelling was back up, it was all the way up her leg and her skin was splitting in between her toes. does anyone know what i can do to bring the swelling down??
thank you, -megan

an ice pack should help with swelling, but that sounds like it's over my head, i think i'd call the vet and see what they say. i guess clean up the cuts with betadine or something too. could the bone be broken?

Need to see a DVM. Blood supply might have been cut off long enough to have killed some tissue.
Good luck, Paul T
