Took advantage of the days off to get some hunting in. Got my new pit/mastiff Spike on his first hog Chritmas eve night. He did very well, went the day after Christmas with Tye, Chad, B.J., and my brother Jason. Caught 3 hogs that morning in a little over an hour. Another good day for Spike, caught hard on ear. Grin  Got a few dogs poked, but nothing major. Great hunt with good friends, Happy New year to everyone.

Good hogs Justin! Grin

How'd everyone manange to sneak out and hunt on Christmas eve? :'(

How old is Spike and where'd he come from? The reason I ask is because a few years ago I got my hands on three of those puppies and they looked exactly like him. The one I kept up with didn't grow very much so we doubted the cross. I don't know where the other two ended up.

Here's a pic of one when I had them...

Mike, he is 12 months old.  He came from a school teacher down the road, tearing the place up. Grin  The father was on site, a dark brindle mastiff and the mother was a red nose pit.  So far he is working out well, I would guess him around 80-90 lbs so far.  Tusk, give me a holler when you come up. That's not one of those I had... it's been 3 or 4 years ago when that pic was taken.

Funny how that same cross ended up looking alike.
