Not sure what you are asking for. I like to get to the bottom line so I will ask. Are you asking people to give you stuff? Are you asking for people to let you hunt with them? Are you asking for dogs? What exactly do you want? I am not trying to be rude just trying to figure out what you want.

Anything possible really just strugglin gettin restarted and need help. I would like to get help dog wise cuz i have this one lightly started and several not started just havin trouble startin off would like to trade for at least a catch dog so if i do luck out and find a pig haha i can at least catch it anyway kinda ramblin but thanks again everyone for your time

best thing i did when my papa told me to build a pack was to take free dogs and work them yourself. never heard of a free started dog unless he was dumb. ive had mutts ive picked up off the street that worked for what i like to do. its been more than two years since ive had my hands on a hog, deeply regret it but right now is not the time for me to start back up. im on coons now since the closest hogs are 4 hours south of me. best of luck to you and happy thanksgiving

How are you going to feed the dogs or take care of vet bills if you can't buy one dog. I have spent more on food and vets than buying dogs and I have some expensive dogs. I am not trying to be rude. But do you want dogs or to hunt. I know people dpn't like giving digs to people starting because they find them for sale or someone shows up at a bay pen with the dog they just bought. You said you sold your dogs and now you want free dogs. Do you see the problem? If you have places you need your own dogs for then you can get someone to hunt with you. If you are a fence jumper you need your own dogs. I do understand wanting dogs but only if you have the money to take care of them. If you want to hunt there are people that will let you hunt with them. I know that I am not giving any dog to anyone I don't know for a reason.

I didnt do this for criticism i have a friend who's a vet and i can cover food. Im not one of those who will turn around and sell a dog. I sold mine cuz i needed the cash when i had my baby. And we were movin and had no place for them. Now i wanna get back in but cant afford the bulk cost of buyin dogs. I was just Askin for a little help gettin started.

I am hoping no one is trying to beet you up, I dont think they were! Just offering from there mistakes. "keep first things first" I dont want to sound like a preacher, but Keep GOD and your family first, and be patient, it will come around. It cost the same amount to feed soup hounds as it does a few nice dogs. We all want our owen dogs, sometimes it is just better to go with others, and their dogs. But on the other side of the coin, It cost less to feed a few dogs, than it does to have a few drinks with your budddies one nite a week. And im sure its lots easier on a marrige. We all have to have something to look forward to, and a realease from day to day life. I have a family & other intrest, so I keep the dogs numbers down. If they eat more than a bag a week I cut back, on dogs, not their care. Thats just the limits I put on myself. Cause I could get dog stupid If im not carefull.

I like what you said there man. I got dog stupid once had 21 in my yard and was being threatened by the ole lady that it was me or the dogs. Needless to say I sold them all except 2. I had all them cuz I thought that's what I needed to be successful. I was wrong on that 1 I got 3 dogs now and they produce hogs for me just as good as me running 6/7 dogs at a time.

remember how we was talking about them twin gyps if im not mistaken man we've got littermates 3W. been asking around talked to roy and he says hes not 100 % sure hes giving alot out but he did remembering giving away a pup or too that made it to ur area.  i dnt know how that gyp of yers hunts but myn is silent on track and got a nose on her thats impressed me! if you got a sure enough hound to breed to her, id do it! I'll send u my address so u can send the pup!  |
