Hey guy's, I stopped by the Academy in Pearland today and they had what appeared to be several thousand rounds of .223 ammo. It was Monarch ammo and was 55grn full metal jacket and some 55grn soft points. The full metal jacket stuff was 6.29 a box!!!! I got 200rds and would have bought more if I didn't think I'd get in trouble with the missus.
The soft point ammo was a little over 9 dollars a box. They also had some 223 in Federal Vmax for 18 dollars a box. They had plenty today around noon. I don't know how long it will last.

I wish I had a Gander mountain close. I think the closest one is on the north side of Houston.
