Fat Barr Hog

Went out today with my little brother Bryce my buddy Josh and a couple of friends from Erath County, Landon (Purebredcolt) Zach (ZachW) & Casey. We had Rebel and Blue for bay dogs and 3 bulldogs. We rode around for a little while with a whole convoy of interested ranch guests behind us before we let Landon's blue dog off to hunt down the road. We drove on and finally got on the back side of the cedars where the dogs had the strong wind in their favor. Rebel bailed from the flat bed and took off down the road with Blue & I could tell he was winding one. I watched him on the Garmin until he showed treed and I told Zach to stop. He killed the truck and I could hear him chopping 3-400 yards away. Got Blue to him and they bayed good until we got there and then they broke. The hog ran about 700 yards and bayed like a champ. He broke again when we got there, but only went 100 yards or so. We sent the bulldogs and they handled him really well. It was a real fun hunt and the guests were really impressed compared to the ole American Hogger's shoats Thanks for the invite Zach and Landon, he's definitely the fattest hog I've ever caught & I got to put my little brother on his first pig..... he's ruined. Nothing serious my cd took two shots to either side of the chin and rebel had a small nick or two nothing to keep them out of the woods.  Came out lucky
