this morning me and my fiance went deer hunting deer hunting at my place on the navasota river with my father-in-law.  we ended up not seeing a dang deer at all, which is pretty odd.  so we picked up my father-in-law and went riding down by the river where we had been seeing hogs the last few days.  It was around 8:45 am and he sitting on the high rack and he told me to stop.  and BANG!!  I couldn't see anything because the weeds are so tall but he said he shot it.  we looked and couldn't find it at first but my nose led us to it because he was a stinkin. The crazy thing was is that he shot it with a 7mag at about 50 yds behind the shoulder and the bullet didnt even go through it.  That just blew my mind!!  Just goes to show how tough those shields really are. He was smilin like this    .  it weighed about 180 or so.

Nice hog bro....I shot one at the lease while I was crusin around with my .270 and blew half the side off the thing and tracked it a few hundred yards and never found it, they are tough critters.
