Well i was invited to go on a big ranch a buddy of mine has outside of Kaufman yesterday afternoon and coudln't because i was just getting back from deer hunting. ANyways several of my buddies went and bayed a good boar in a deep creek that had about 6inches of water in it. The boar a good size rank sucker. about 280 pounds. Turned the CD's loose and caught hog. 1 buddy went in and legged him and one of there dogs they are always worried about rolling out to the next county was what they were focused on catching so 2 other buddys went in to grab her first and as one buddy went around the front side of the hog the baor lunged forward and flipped his head. My buddy was yelling he got me over and over. There was 5 guys on this hunt and no one saw it happen it happened that fast. ANyways getting the hog flipped they coudl see blood on the outside of his pants. Long story short he was cut and cut bad. HE was rushed to Dallas and was released last night with a 7inch open wound on the right side of is shin, the cut made it all the way to the bone just cutting muscle and fat though thank god. The only problem is there leaving the wound open so it won't get infected for like 2 or 3 days then going to try and close it up. It's a really bad cut and is def. going to take some time to heel. He is very lucky though to take it were he did. For all those yound guys that think there SUperman, just keep in mind it can happen in a blink of an eye. Stay on your toes and pay very close attention.

That made my stomache sink, I hope he makes for a speedy recovery with no problems.
I found my husbands x-ray from two years ago when I was cleaning our spare room....his was 3 inches deep and about 8 to 10 inches long from mid thigh to knee cap.
It happens in a blink of an eye and can happen to anyone no matter how long they have been doing it.....only takes one second of being off guard or making a bad / rushed decision.
He ie extrmely lucky it missed any major arteries....tell him to drag out the bleach lol and make sure they sew it layer by layer so it will heal with out holding fluids.

Been there and done that. Good luck to him. Be prepared for lots of fun swelling and draining.

SO the doctors want to leave this big gash in his leg open so there shouldn't be any infection. Only bad part is he will have one hell of a battle scar.

He may have a big scar but he will also have a cool story to go with it.
