Pigrig from NZ asked a question about rednecks and I wanted some input on the subject.I am one myself but have seen some people that make me look like a city slicker.I live in the very southeast part of TX ,close to the lakes and many doggers here so you see some things that really shows just how redneck a person is.Here are a couple of examples that I see all the time,a guy pulling a 50,000 dollar bass boat with a 500 dollar truck or a guy pulling a 10,000 Mule with a truck held together with bailing wire.This is a sad one but I did know a guy thats hunting dogs were in better shape than his kids and probably better fed,that one made me mad!!!!

I am sorry but the most redneck thing I heard was a two story trailer.
Born and raised in it, that double high will always hold a precious place in my heart. The trailer my wife and I now call home ( not to brag bit its a double wide) doesn't have a working central heating system. We were cold as witches t"ts trying to heat our room and the babies room with lil ol space heaters, so we moved her crib to our room last night and closed the door that way we're only heating one room. That may be redneck, but its also dadgum smart! |

We already had a falling out with the Hatfield clan over our daughters bf Goodrich tire swing, they said weez spoiling her giving her name brand toys. |

BF Goodrich tire swing!!! Now that is just plain showing off right there. I did not realize you had moved up like that. Next thing you know you will be telling me y'all have indoor plumbing too. Then you will be wanting central heat just so you can sit back and gloat.

belive it or not ive seen a two story trailer house this guy built a post and frame house over his early 80s trailer hes been working on it about ten years its got tyvec wrap the hole deal. not to poke fun at anyone to each his own, i did have to go look twice

ya'll r jest blowin smoke . i live in a log house we built ourselves from timber off our place drug out with a team of mules we live 1/2 mile from the road , when the weather is bad we don't have much company , cause our gravel is magic you see ? just put some water on it ... and it dissapears MORE so i make a living logging with mules , gathering and catching wild cattle ,and selling my body ... its been rough round here since the loggin biness went to crap  j/k " what most people call a redneck , he aint nothin but a workin man , he makes his livin by the sweat of his brow and the callouses on his hands " CHARLIE DANIELS |

Well in high school we were called rednecks cause we wore boots had are own parking spots and call our teachers to see if we could stay in ag muddy trucks and most likely blood on our tailgates but now in college I'm ashamed to be called a redneck for wearing boots cause those shiny polished boots ppl wear don't deserve to be called rednecks just because they wear boots
