Met up with Dusty E and Hogs Gone Wild Oklahoma Style (Blake) this evenin' a lil later then I'd like I got off work late and still had to do some chore before getting everything ready and heading out. Dusty brought Dee and I loaded up Max (red BMC) Bob (Kemmer x Cat) and Ely (Kemmer), along with the bed red freight train Deisel for the anchor. Made some rounds at some close places and came up empty so we moved on north and I think all the deer hunters have them hogs runnin' all over and didn't have any luck at those places. Made our way back east and had a few more rangey goes but still came up empty. Decided to hit one last place before heading in and started a descent bay but still came up empty. I was calling it a night and about to head in but decided to finish hunting the small property. Max came off the hood and sent Dee and Bob to him. They'd bay and break about 600 yds in the property. finally had a good bay started and started to make our way 800 yds to them. Went back and got the truck after I realized we could drive closer. Still only got about 500 yds to the closest bay. Ely was wore out so I left him in the truck and went to see what the young dogs had going on. I could hear Max bayed solid and Bob finally made it to him and and they were across the creek. Deisel drug me down and embankment and he went off this ledge. Got him drug back up and saw Max bayed in some thick thick grass. sent Deisel in and get to the bay just after it broke but they shut it down and had a 100 lb sow cut down. Down to get back in we get the 3 dogs gathered up with the few leads we had and started back to the truck. Dee was still 500 yds south of the first bay striking out then hunting again. Made a couple 200 yd circles and thought he was coming in. Heard the thick weeds movin' down below. We cut Max and Bob loose again and they go 80 yds and bay another hog up next to a tree. Cut Deisel loose again and he snuck right in looked this hog in the face then proceeds to take it's nose off. With Deisel and Max latched on this lil sow took off and went over the edge of this ledge right into the creek. I make my way to them and get this sow drug out and cut down. Pretty sure Dee ran this one back to us. Still a bunch of hogs on the place but with everyone havein' work and school in the mornin' we came on in. That's the sweet part.
My best pen dog that was getting started good in the woods was drooling blood monday morning. Got him to the vet and the said he had a hematoba or something like that in his throat. He was breathing fine and got the bleeding to stop. Sent him home with some vitamin shots and could only feed canned food. He's been doing good but before we headed out he wasn't looking so good. Had plans to get him to the vet first thing in the mornin' but when we got in to hydrate him again he had done passed on laying in his house. Took the time to bury him with his hog tooth and ain't been able to sleep since. Second dog this year I've had pass on that wasn't even in the line of duty. I was gonna take him and a couple other dogs down to Coleman in a couple weeks but don't think I'm gonna make it now.

Sorry I didn't have the time to take any pics tonight it got pretty wild and didn't even think to but there's the bitter sweet night here at CK Doggin' Adventures.

The dog that passed away was Bo. He's the cat there in my profile pic. He was turnin' into one heck of a dog and will be missed. No more color in the pens. Down to brindle's and solid color's

Some of the best advice I've got so far is to have some pups coming up at all times cuz you never know when your gonna lose a good dog. When Pete died I was in bad shape. So I have up an comers all the time. Stay after em cody
