Im not trying to sound like a jerk, but get your stuff down right before you start calling out on it. there is no rope tied to the hog in that clip, nor are there any ropes tied to any hogs in what all we'ved filmed. The reason were producing this is to keep away from all the fake crap that people are putting out not to put more of it out. I can send you the entire clip if you think there is a rope tied to the pig. I assume your talking about the one in the creek bottom when the catch dog comes in?

I thought the hogs leg was tied as well. I looked several times then it appeared to be vine of some sort that is kicked up. I couldnt tell for certain but do agree it looks tied or with a broken foot. Good video

I watched it a few more times and I guess it's possible that's a vine but there is no doubt that the hog's leg is broke. It just diminishes what was otherwise a pretty nice video..
I'm not against you Levi, I'm with you....I would like nothing more than for someone to show what real hog hunting is with real hunters that have a little common sense and don't make us all look like a bunch of illiterate clowns...

The hogs leg isn't broke, tied, abnormal, or anything. I understand as a viewer everyone wants to nit pick at videos, no offense to ya'll, hell I even do it. So I know everyone is going to believe what they want to believe what they want, but that was a perfectly normal pig. But thanks for watching!

You shouldnt get offended.  This is the feedback you should be paying attention to if you ever want to be successful.  Your sole job in the entertainment business is to entertain, so if you're getting negative feedback look at changing some things up.  Watch your own video and see what everyone is commenting on, the legs looks tied and/or broken.  You can see for yourself if youll go back and review the video on how the hog is carrying the leg.

I saw it too, but didn't know if the hog was actually staked out, or if it was caught with a snare, then the dogs were used to catch it.

I also haven't forgotten about the 460# hog Micheal and Diamond A posted a couple years ago...

Levi....you asked for our advice. We are offering it...you definitely did a good job making the video...but something is up with that hog. Im not against getting a good shot for something like this...I understand the difficulty in filming and editing.

When those guys posted about the big hog they caught and he got called out on it...he got all kinds of mad wanting to fight and throw stuff  Grin...come to find out...he was mad because he got called out on the truth and caught lieing.

Not saying your doing that....but as a hunter...the hog looks staged. May not be...I guess its possible the hog lunges forward and trips on the two vines burried in the sand...idk. Thanks for sharing the video!

U can see the right front leg drag the ground just as the hog lunges foward and there are two vines are ropes are what ever that move at the same time as the hog goes forward.  I have no ideal if it is are it aint but sure makes you go hummmmmmm.  Hope your show goes well.

Ok, the first time that I watched the video I thought the hog was tied by its front leg. Then I read where the guy who filmed it said that it wasn't tied so I went back and watched it again...using pause and backing it up several times. Now Im not really sure what it is that im seeing except that the hog is not putting weight on its front leg for some reason.

The point that I would like to make is that this video is on utube for the general public to see and I think that most people who see it are going to think the same thing about the hogs leg being tied and I doubt many will watch it a second time and back it up and pause it. So the video is going to leave most thinking that its a staged hunt. That is something that the anti-hunting groups love to feed on.

Thank you for all the advise. It frustrates me being called a liar for something that was not faked, but that's cool I understand where ya'll are coming from. The hog seems to stumble and In the first episode be sure to watch because the same hog is being bayed and caught in the first part, It seems to stumble there too. So maybe there's something wrong with the leg I don't know. I do know the hogs leg was not tied, snared, or staked out to something. The hog was turned into BBQ after the hunt and seemed to be ok leg wise when we cleaned it but who knows i'm not a vet. Hopefully will have the first episode out today or tomorrow be sure to watch it, and give me feedback! thanks

when i first say levis video i thought to myself another staged hunt... after reading all the posts calling him out i looked again. To ME it is clear what went on... as the catch dog comes in there is a forked stick laying on the ground the dog knocks towards the pig if you look to the lower left you can see the whole fork move towards the pig. if the pig was tied the rope would have moved in the same direction as the pig was headed.. but clearly the pig was down on his front leg. but i have caught three legged hogs before and it wasnt staged.

now lets get back to bashing tony lol  Grin

Hey Potter,

Thanks for the reply, but the 2 girls that I'm referring to are not the 2 girls on Lady Hoggers. That said, I was the guy who shot the first promo reel for the HDL girls, but I didn't own the idea, nor the video, so that's not mine to discuss. The 2 girls that I was referring to are members of the site, and I have nothing to say bad about them, only that for legal reasons we won't be working together.

As for the show that I am working on, someone suggested that it was a remake of the HDL girls.....trust me, this show will not only remain true to the sport, but it will include and entire posse of women. Upwards of 7 - 10.

I wish I could say that there won't be any Hollywood in it, but this is tv, so there will be. But I can make this promise to the hog hunters out there...IT WILL REMAIN TRUE TO THE SPORT!

Hello Chance,

I didn't know your profile name on here, but figured it wouldn't be long before you came calling. As for said persons, I came to the site after emails from lawyers told me to cease and desist trying to shop HDL.....newsflash, HDL is a dead deal, and I am in no way attempting to breathe life back into it. My resume will forever say that I cut one helluva promo reel for it, and thats the end of that. I figure I must be damn good at what I do because 2 girls are on tv because of it. Even if the hog hunting community is bashing the hell out of them, their still on tv....case closed on that one.

The CHANCE  at the end of my post was not to take a stab at you, it was to let you know that I knew you would be on this site. I have nothing but respect for you, but don't get it twisted. I am a tv producer, I came to said persons wanting to use them as talent. But the legal things that said people are tied up in would get my show canned once their name is mentioned as one of my casting members. That is why I decided to find NEW TALENT!!!!

I repeatedly tried to get people to move on and lets go in another direction that was guaranteed, and all I got for my efforts was threatening emails from lawyers telling me to cease and desist anything that had to do with HDL....

As for my statement about the hog community, I said it in your living room, and I'll say it on this site..

" I CANNOT BUILD MY SHOW AROUND THE OPINIONS OF THE HOG COMMUNITY, BECAUSE THEY ONLY MAKE UP A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF THE PEOPLE WHO WATCH THE SHOW, BUT WE WILL REMAIN TRUE TO THE SPORT."

So what does that mean?

It simply means that the entire United States has the ability to view the show, not just hog hunters. In saying that, a show has to be put together to entertain the entire U.S. viewing audience, not just hog hunters. Remaining true to the sport is what I intend to do, but truth be told, opinions are just like A - - holes, everybody has one, and they all stink. Even if I did pattern the show after every opinion that was placed on this site, there would still be someone dogging the show.....see my point?

As I told said persons lawyers, I really do regret that things turned out the way they did, I think the hunting talents would have been a knockout for my show....but the operative word is, MY SHOW, as such, I cannot put my show on hold while they sort out legal issues that I promise you, will take a helluva lot longer than 30 days.

I'm sorry if I've offended you, it really wasn't my intent, but I am going forward with my show, and I can promise you this, It won't be anything like HDL, and I ought to know how to make sure of that...remember, I cut the promo....

Hey Ugly dog,

As for the reason I'm asking for the help of men, this is tv, so while the women will be the stars, I'm not trying to be sexist about the behind the scenes people. I need men and women for things such as surveying the land that we hunt, devising traps, liaison, and for helping to write the show to make sure that we don't take the hunting part of the show in a direction that has nothing to do with the sport.

Understand, the hunting will be about 75% of the show, the twist comes with the last 25%.

Just because I don't know the sport of hog hunting, doesn't mean that my show won't have any true substance of the sport. That's why you hire consultants. People who are experts in the field. The main talent will be women, but the behind the scenes will be a collaboration. The men won't have anything to do with the actual hunt, but there is a ton of things needed to make a show run smoothly.

Hope that answers your question.

Okay Chance,

I just spotted this post that you made, but let me ask you this. When have you ever known me to not give a damn about the dogs or the sport?

If you remember, you were sitting right next to me the majority of the time that I edited the HDL promo reel. I listened to everything that you suggested concerning the hog hunting community....considering that I haven't shot any hog video since HDL, what would make you think I would stop giving a damn?

I would like to think that the little bit that I've been taught about the sport came from the best. I was true to it then, and I'll remain that way. Abusing, and or ignoring the importance of the dogs makes no sense.

Just because we're not working together, doesn't mean I've changed. I've never lied to you about who I am, or how I did business, no need to start now...I hear you loud and clear.

Hey DJ,

As for your statement concerning looking like a goober, ask chance and crystal to let you check out the promo of HDL....making women look like goobers is hardly what I do.

I'm damn good at what I do....in fact, video production is all I do.

To put it simple, if you know what your doing, you just know what you doing. No one can make you look like a goober unless your simply clueless.....

Not my bag.
