Just wondering how many hog doggers hunt the area between bastrop and gonzales?? A friend of mine has a place up there that has been getting torn up really bad and asked me to form a posse. Wondering how bad they run in that area

Some places look like the poster child for hog removal, some a mile away see a hog once a year. Myself and a gentleman who just retired would go. Where abouts?

Peachy I agree ith already said some places are thick with hogs and others are more scarce but you are talking about alot of distance between the two also.

My favorite places to hunt are in that area.

There is an area around Red Rock / Rockne that has small hogs with big teeth, very similar to the pics you see Jesse Paul post.

Here's a few pics of hogs I've caught within about a 50 miles radius of where you are talking about.

Keep in mind, there are dozens if not hundreds of hog doggers in that region.  Probably thicker than Brazoria county.

This is one night of hunting. 10 hogs, 306# and several over 200#

This one was a few miles east of Bastrop, heading toward LaGrange

Another one from the same place

casey their place is 800 acres and they have contacted three surounding land owners and they are all in... I think all in all it is only 1500 or so acres but the word is speading so hopfully we will have free range of the all areas around.

We hunted awhile back in bryan and dogs went threw 9the fences. I was thinking oh chit we fixing to get chewed out or dogs killed but the land owners never said a word. Most of them said do whatever we wanted but to take ever hog we bayed with us.

Nothing like around home...
