Three of us headed down to check out the expo and get a hunt in. We wanted to enter the comp but the land owner who was letting us hunt liked to shoot over a bay. So we compromised and shot a few and dogged a few. My crockett plott gyp bayed us up a nice group and the land owner got a nice sow. Im guessing 175. We then tracked to my blackmouth in another black of woods. The land owners wife had seen the hogs and dog cross a large field and hit a 90 acre wooded block. We headed in and stayed quiet a few hoping to hear her. It was tough to hear. That texas wind was roaring! Im sure anyone who hunted last weekend felt it. Well within a few minutes we saw the 2 females right up the rear end of a big boar hog. They were 6 inches off him and heading into some thick cover. We cut my buddies bulldog and started in. About this time the woods got completely quiet. I figured the bulldog was getting it handed to her. After a few minutes we tracked them to a thicket and found the 3 dogs on this lil pig. We were hoping to get our trophy boar but it looked as though he took those dogs right to a few sows with pigs. Had a great time. The family had their kids out, which was great help because they loved walking and helping with the dogs. It is tough hunting with that large group but it is always fun to hunt new areas. We also took out a few yotes sneaking around. Chris cleaning the sow and the kids holding their noses checking it out. Chris and I with the kids holdin june blackmouth and sundance crockett plott dog Ian and chris with their bulldogs diamond and fatboy A nice yote June asking for another beer after the hunt! Ben

She is fast on track and for the most part pretty quiet. She also will sink teeth. Too bad those bigger hogs took her to some pigs. Finally got the whip antennas for those stupid dc 20s. Ben

Ben, I see you mentioned your dog came from Jay. I got a good little female that's father came from him. Want to say her mother did too but not sure.
His place is a few hours up the road from me.
