crittercatcher90, about what year were you born?

I was born in 90 I am 21 what does my age have to do with anything and to the guys that said they want to hunt pm me and I would be glad to hunt with you and some of the post on here prove my point drama I was talkin bout people that just on the internet and dont hunt and people want to get there pantys in a bunch all I ment was dont talk number 2 if u hunt let what u ur dogs do the talkin

I was just curious.....

I am also curious as to whom you think on this thread or the previous hasn't caught their fair share of hogs?

I agree with Mr. Skinner and several others, I enjoy hunting for so many reasons that have nothing to do with being competitive.

Looks like a man being curious and stating an opinion about enjoying a hunt without competition.  I don't see anybody "stirring the pot"

There's nothing worse than two guys arguing about who's dog barked first.  Those guys usually don't get invited back.

I really don't see Matt as stirring the pot, I thought it to be a legit question for him as he didn't know....Matt ain't really one for being a smart azz.

I think think the question as to who was being refered to in the other thread was because jr was arguing with someone who catches plenty of hogs and is pretty well likes around although I don't know him personally.

The thing is Ccatcherjr,y'all been catching a good amount of hogs recently and some nice ones as well and doing it with your own dogs (you and your pops) that's sure something to be proud of no doubt but be humble man as with all the good will come the bad as well so enjoy the good times, get read for the bad and relax...its just dogs. Hopefully you'll have more good than bad and as you get older you'll realize everything don't have to be a fight nor will you feel like fooling with the little crap that in the end don't really matter anyhow.

Where the hell do you so one of Matt's posts starting $hit???

The only drama I see is a disrespectful youngster that just started who seems to have the "know it all syndrome".

Anyone else who wants to come on here and accuse my mods or admins of starting $hit... I'll be happy to show you to the door.

The more of this thread i read, the more my head hurts. I'm gonna have a beer and see if it makes more sense. It's rare that I've seen any hoo-ha goin on at this board. It's moderated well and everyone gets along and picks at one another  but has a good time. I must of missed the post where the moderaters where starting anything,,, that's why i enjoy this board, hell, it's fun.

Again, just curious. Wasn't trying to piss anyone off. I just didnt see anyone contributing to the convo that spoke above their experience level and I read in a post you made that there were members here doing that.

Mike I'm not trying to start any trouble the boy isn't my son just a young man I'm helping but obviously he has a big mouth. He's a good kid, I just didn't want to see him get hammered like he was. There are several egos on every hunting site and his got away from him. He will learn when to keep his mouth shut and eyes open...hopefully.

crittercatcher90,

If your looking for a little competition contact Southetexasdogger he is just down the street from you.
If you really want to see how good your dogs are put them up against his.
FYI-You better have some great dogs because he has a Kennel full of Super nice dogs.
Id really like to see that one.

Not trying to be an azz, looks like your wanting a little comp to me.

I think it is kind of funny myself. I have been putting my foot in my mouth my whole life. Now I just try to stop chewing when I put my foot in my mouth. I think he is just the victim of poor word choice. I have talked to him and he seemed alright to me. I want to know one man that has not put his foot in his mouth. But it is what happens after the foot is in mouth that teaches us something. Well being 21 don't say much about being able to hunt. But I bet you ain't had the whoop'ns that can come after the yippen yet. I got thick skin for the most part. Don't think I am upset at all and don't think I think anything bad about you. Just know you stuck your foot in your mouth and learn from it. Don't get upset because everyone does it. I'll shoot you a PM and just tag my crippled self along. I still have one good hand. Keep your chin up and a smile on your face. That is what my grandpa would say.

WOW!!! Lets start off with the facts,,,,they have competitions all over the state to Prove your dogs, they have a topic on this board of "Dogs on Hogs" to PROVE  your dogs, they even have a "2011 Most Hogs" topic on this board for you to post of the amount of hogs your dogs have PROVEN to catch! The moderators on this board are PROVEN hog hunters and know a hell of alot more from 60 or so post on here to the 2000 plus post they have. They have already PROVEN there dogs, hogs,. A one on one competition of dogs on dogs is simply calling one out to a fight! Why do that? Your dogs are only as good as you think they are, brag on them, show us pictures, show us videos, post the stories of how good your dogs are, BUT don't start running down or challenging anyone's else's dogs on the board unless you know them personally. The topic "Let the dogs settle it" sounds like we are fighting dogs instead of Hunting! WTH?

I love to hog hunt,,,with my dogs,,,,with your dogs,,,,with whoeveer's dogs,,,,I LOVE TO HOG HUNT. In the end it is not about the dog, hog, it is about the friends and family you have to share all that with.

Katchum,

  You nailed it.
I as well as most seasoned hunters are in it for the fellowship and enjoy working dogs.

I learned a long time ago that no matter how good I think my dogs are Im constantly trying to improve them.
I know a couple of great dog men IMO and strive to produce dogs like them.

Usually for me when I bragg on my dogs or take someone that I really think I want to impress I get let down by a bad night or dogs just not doing it for me that hunt.

Crittercatcher90- When I was your age I believed I was the baddest dude around IMO I could not have my azz beat by anyone.
I soon learned when I went to college one night in the iron man contest a 170# average joe knocked my azz out in front of the whole bar.(Mike-You know him)Funky coal medina. Grin
I soon learned after that night he owns a Karate school down the street and I had a new prospective towards my badazz attidude.

My point is when you quit learing and you think you have it all figured out its over for you.
Always keep your ears open and learn everything you can. Im in my 40's and when I go hunting with my mentors I learn something everytime.

Yep Huntsville it was.

After that we became friends and did some bowfishing around Riverside.

Caught a couple lizzards and released in Bells Camp on ladies night.
Gave a few Airboat rides for the intoxicated ladies on the river Grin Grin
