Yeah I shoot one a lot.  We use the nu-dart with the charges.  Works well for us.  Danaject is ok too but you have to get the darts back after the shot to clean and reuse

I looked at some at the tulsa farm show,im by myself most times and a big ol tiger stripe cow with footrot for example is when i need one the most. I borrowed my neighbors to catch 2 corriente bulls with sedative, they were the catch darts with the barbs that u had to cut out after catch. One thing i saw with the medicine darts is they are small so you are limited to a 10cc dose, would have to use micotil or draxin etc. BUT..........when i turned around i saw the soultion for highr dose meds....A FREAKIN CROSSBOW Evil, it shoots a big tube looking dart. I think they will both be on my christmas list from the boss man!

Jimmy
im shooting draxxon doctoring some calves on lease pasture , 3 or 4 cc darts with gel collar.

i shure like to use a horse when it is realistic, but with these calves 1 or 2 days may be too late, not to mention the added stress from roping and handling a calf to doctor.

my old cows can ussaully be drove to a pen or tipped over out in the pasture and doctored for there problems.

that crossbow would shure be nice..

Very handy, I love mine.  I like it in small pastures where you don't have alot of room to rope.  I catch a lot of cattle on 5 acremesquite thickets where u got just enough room to get your truck and trailer in and really can't line a cow out, or keep em from jumping fences.  People just buy cattle turn em out and think everythings okay.  The pneu-darts I really like.  The other day I was showing a friend of mine the gun and put the lowest charge in from 50 yards and shot the side of my barn with a practice dart with no tip.  I was supprised when the dart went through the tin.  Whoops.  But great options to have.

Sry it took so long to get back to u I ordered that pneu- dart I'm not sure of the model I'm looking for new combos of meds to doctor with now that I can shoot threw the gun. If i dont find any I'll just be hitting them with rompin (spelling?) and then doctoring them when they r down.

Has anyone used a dart gun on a hog? I can just see someone slipping in to a bay and rocking a bad one right to sleep. Grin

I just shot 6 with rompin (spelling?)  this afternoon with my buddies gun same as what I'm getting and we were done doctoring in a lil over an hr with no wrk to it. Usually this would have been around 4 hrs of wrk and running and chasing them. Well worth it to get one.

Nocking with romp in hip to dangers in the neck then doctor for foot rot with oxymicin and sulfa but I'm seeing differences in there feet some r busted in the center and swollen, and some are just swollen, and then also some with cracks above the hoof wich I'm assuming is an injury from fence.
