I used the Big boar hobbles Wild Boar USA sells the other day on this hog. I've had them about a year and just now tried them but they worked good. Only thing about hobbles is having to tie a hog on its back so it won't stand up. I'm still trying to make a trip South so Caughtandhobbled can teach me about piggin string.

There our two types of pain: The temporary pain of training or the permenant pain of failure. Choose wisely...

I need to get some mule tape and try it. Never really tried tying one, the guys that got me into it have always used hobbles.

I use the snap hobbles, I didn't like the "big boar" hobbles because on a big boar fightin and kicking good luck getting him hobbled with out being able to seperate the hobbles since they are on the ring. The snap hobbles or any regular hobbles work better cause you can snap individually or at least do just 2 legs at a time.

Jared i believe he got them from WBUSA... but i wouldnt trust his judgment on how good they are... The hogs are usually hobbled and loaded before he ever gets there... And i have some mule tape if you want to give it a try..

Lol that's pretty good Trenton. I'm sure Josh will be proud to see that. You always use hobbles don't ya? Wouldn't mind trying some mule tape sometime.

never used hobbles , i twist 2 , or braid 3 strands of muletape for hogs and sometimes use a 4 plait on cattle . that helps with the circulation problem .

I bought a set at Unlce Earls but they've always seemed too small plus they don't have a ring in the middle of either of them like most I've seen.

And i have some mule tape if you want to give it a try.. This coming from the guy that forgot his setof hobbles, even when I asked if I needed to grab my set you insisted you had yours. In the meant time I am holding a good size hog while you got lost between us and the truck. When the truck was only 600 yards away.... Jack A**! But yeah Jared there wild boar USA, bout all I'll use cause the functionality is great. Just as soon as you get dirt in the snaps they get stiff though!
