I am thinking of trying the SHNF this weekend.  I have never hunted there.  I have some ideas from past drives through the area and looking at Google Earth and topo maps.

Is there anyone who would like to hook up and camp/hunt a couple of days?

Anyone that's hunted over there that can give some tips?

Josh,
The season for running dogs at SHNF ends 03/15/09.  I'm planning on heading up there midday friday 03/13/09 and setting up camp.  Then hunting friday night, saturday and saturday night.  Have your brother give me a call if he's interested.

Call me when you're here.  I have a good spot to hunt up here.

You prolly already know this and you may have meant afternoon, but there is no hunting in SHNF after sunset.  Just a heads up in case you run into a fish cop.

Thanx Matt.  I hunted around for 1 1/2 hours and found the reg concerning only taking feral hogs during daylight hours on public land.  They damn sure don't make it easy to find that stuff.
