Fun lil day hunt.

Me, Kevin, Chad and a friend of Chads got together for a late morning hunt today. I haven't day hunted in a month of Sundays, and had forgot how much I like seeing what's going on. We turned all the young dogs looses and they had a blast. Even got to see my lil Misty pup from TexasJ throat catch one lil boar.  it got pretty confusing with all that yellow on the ground as to who's dog was who's, but in all we had an awesome time and caught 2 lil boars in around an hour.

Also found the boneyard of all the hogs we've Ben catching and didnt have time to stop and fool with, the coyotes did us a great favor and put them all together fr us. I'll post pics after while. One of the sets we found must have been a shot hog, because if wed have dogged it, me and Kevin would definitely have played paper rock scissors over it.

Chance, I like her pretty good too

TexasJ, this was her first trip without the floaties. no tied hogs, no trip to the hog pen before going. Just dumped her out with the big dogs and let her get at it. The lil boar on the tailgate tried to outrun all the dogs and it was encouraging to see her chase it down with the rest and after Kevin pulled it out from under the log, she grabbed neck and locked down. She will be in the woods 3 times a week for the next few months and will have plenty of pork to learn the ropes on.
