after car shopping in the city all day had a buddy that was bound and determined to go hunting. load up dogs and get to some new spots bout 12:30 or 1 this mornin'. Turned dog loose to take care of some business before putting them on the hood. They decide to go 6 and 7 hundred yards north instead. drive 2 mile sections to get back around to the other side. hogs been tearing up cotton and wheat fields. We try to get ely caught up cuz my 2 other dogs are back where we started. Hear some grunting and Ely catches bout 75 yds from the truck nice lil 100 lber. had 2 more trotting in the open. I was runnin' behind them with the bulldog and they were just trotting so I cut the bulldog and when he got about 5 yds from them them suckers caught about 3 more gears and were gone. Thank goodness I can call my bulldog back. Get the lil sow loaded and go back to where we started to get Max loaded up and he's huntin' this area hard about 50 yds off the road and I can't get him called in. He goes 600 and strikes off. we drive around and get with in 400 yds and send him some help. every dog decided to try to get their own pig caught up with max 1.5 miles down the road. get back toward ely and he's bayed solid. Send him some help. max get's there in a hurry and them 2 catch for a sec at 500 yds then they are bayed solid. Figured it was a nice one. made it to them and got with in 65 yds and cut the bulldog. Finally get to the bay and they are all caught in the middle of the creek with some steep sides. I grab the bulldog by the tail and get everything pulled close to to bank and my buddy comes in and makes the stick on a nice 250 lb sow. we were wore at and with it being 330 in the mornin' we decided to call it a night. Didn't even get to hood hunt all night. they went around 8-9 miles in the same 3-4 mile section. Proud of my dogs stickin' out and finding some hogs. Woulda got more pics if my phone wouldn't have died.
