Lop has been as good a catch dog as a man could ask for. As laid back and gentle as any dog but when it came time to go to work you never had to doubt him.. He already had one of his top hangers broke out and got the others broke out Friday night trying to hold one of the biggest hogs we've ever tried to catch. We been seeing this hogs track for awhile now but he roams so far that you never know where he is or when he'll be back. We found his track Friday night and Rain bayed right off the bat , sent the bulldogs and caught a good boar hog but it wasn't the big one. We knew he had been through there so we got Rain to relay and about 30 minutes later she set down bayed again, I knew it was him. Shawn and Kris sent the bulldogs, Lop and Rocko, but of course he broke right before they got there. Rain left out on him and bay barked a few times about 400 yards out but the hog didn't stand long. Lop left running behind her and pretty soon they were over a half mile away in the middle of some thick mess. The garmin showed Rain bayed and Lop goin to her and then showed him treed too on but we had never been where they were and had to go out and drive around. Got around to them finally and they were moving again about 600 yards out then we heard Rain bay again and Lop goin to her again and it showed them both treed on the garmin. We headed to them trying to figure out the best way but when we got around there they were moving again in some thick junk you couldn't hardly walk through. Rain ran him a little while longer but never bayed again. When we got Lop back his other top hanger was broke out up into his gums and just hanging and hog hair was wrapped all up around them.. He got away this time but we'll be back for round 2 soon. This is the one that didn't get away..  |

that a goodun for sure and would love to see the biggun.. sorry for the dogs canines ,but sounds like he has done well for u..

ive said it before but man that rain dog is an awsome dog. she sounds like them once in a lifetime hog dogs. sux the big one slipped but the one yall caught aint to shabby. i hate it for u to have to retire the catch dog but every dog has his day and at least he lived to retire.

He's a boar hog. We got a pic of him on a game cam awhile back. Good hog. Hate to hear about the catch dog. You need to name the hog like they do on tv.
