This is a shame...you owe more to your dogs than that. 19 posts in 3 months and 9 have been about a total of 7 different lost dogs. Invest in a tracking system give your dogs a chance.

Most definitley.  At least put a collar on your lead dog and/or a dog you know you can't trust to come back or find its way back on long track.

When we use to have leave leggy longe range dogs in the woods over night i'd put down a shirt and when i'd go back the next morning 9 times outta 10 they were there on that shirt waiting. just make sure you put the shirt off the road a little bit cuz you never know who would like to have a dog...

message me about a tracking system i have ill cut you a deal and shoot ya straight

When we first started we definately didn't have the money to invest in a tracking system.  Therefore, we did not hunt our dogs unless someone had an extra collar they would allow us to use on our dog. It sucked, but, the truth of the matter is the dog is working for you. It is your job to have their back.  I know some people have different methods and different opinions as well, but that is what works for us. Not trying to rag on you by any means at all, we saved up for a really long time to get our tracking system. Best of luck to you, and I sincerely hope you find your dogs.

I like short range dogs I can call off. I hope you find your dogs. I would also make sure they have your cell number on the dogs. That way if a farmer finds your dog they can call you and not just shoot your dog.

X2 on the shirt trick. I've seen a coon hunter do that. He would tie the shirt around a tree.
