I have a 11 month old female Great Dane, has a swollen vagina and had a milky discharge but now wife said it was greenish yellow, i googled but im still not sure, any ideas.

Also seen vaginitis was common before first heat n one said get antibiotics other (vet online) said wipe with a cotton ball it go away and wont hurtthem

had a older gyp get it and the vet said that it was best to spay a dog that gets it because of damage it causes to the uterus

Vaginitis.... yep.... had quite a few of my friends come down with that come to think of it....                                       Grin

Is the dog acting normal otherwise?  I've seen the colored discharge like that, unless the dog acts looks/acts irregular, I wouldn't be too concerned

She acts fine still hyper n clumsy, ya also seen u might have to spay, ill show her to my vet monday just wanted some extra opinions first

Wife just told me strang dogz been  comin up in yard, hope her ars watches her close thats all i wanna do is cull pups as the ariive!

Could possibly be pyometria. Hopefully not if you are wanting to breed her at a later time. Here's hoping that the vet finds something easily treated.

I think its just heat, she stood for my kemmer (no didnt breed) but im still gonna call vet ina bit
