What kind of range do you normally get out of it? I thought about buying one but I didn't know if it worked good. Most of the time after bout a mile and a half its time for me to put my garmin up and break out my Marshall...

If your up pretty high it will be steady at 3/ 3.5 miles anything more then that it better be open and flat.

casey circle c on here has posted before about having an antena made at a cb shop that picks up pretty far out. I have been thinking of getting one made to bolt on the ranger... seems like my garmin looses signal on anything further than 1000 yrds most of the time.
