I'm glad she wasn't found guilty of anything. If she didn't have a baby knowing Americas laws now days she would have been guilty for something. I'm glad for she done what she done.. If the law would stand for more of the innocent than protecting the guilty this country would be a 100 times better than what it is. Now days ya can't hardly protect yourself without worrying if charges are gonna get pressed against yourself for defending yourself

i dont understand how they could have found her guilty of anything the guy kicked down her door and she shot him there no way anyone can argue that she was on the phone the hole time with 911.  in my openion those guys are lucky they would have both been found dead doing that crap with my old lady she wouldnt have waited for them to get the door open that 45 long colt of hers would have been punching holes in the walls and who ever was on the other side of it.  the report said the other fella turned himself in later that day, i think its to bad that she didnt get him to because you know hes going to get a slap on the hand maybe some short jail time but he will be back on the streets back to doing what ever he wants and she will have to look over her shoulder all the time to make sure that he doesnt try and get revenge or finish what tried to start.  this country is going to hell in a hand basket people get crazier every day Sad Sad

Actually, I read today that they have charged the other man with mureder.  They said if you are in the act of a crime(maybe said felony) and someone is killed because of that crime being committed, you can be charged with murder.  His accomplice is being charged with his death.  Finally, something to be proud of with our judicial system!

You guys probably going to give me he!! Over this but he was a very good friend of mine we hit alot of rodeos together but he messed up and she did what she had to do and I have no fault on that but what I do have fault is is the running down of him we all make mistakes and we all have to answer for them he has and we will but maybe we should be praying for this young lady it's not easy taking someones life and she will loose some sleep over it and pray for his family they lost a loved one even though he was wrong he was still loved by many

Not going to give you hell, and you are correct.  The losers in this situation are definitely his family and the young lady.  I am just glad that our system is not going to ruin the life of the young lady who was forced into the situation, and hold the other man accountable for his actions.

I agree that we should pray for the girl and his family for what they are going through and I've made plenty of mistakes in my life but I wouldn't call trying to kick in a door and trying to kill a young woman with a knife a mistake.  Its an act of pure evil.  But that's just me.

I was in a similar situation a year ago and I held the guy at gunpoint until the law arrived. You never know what you will do until you are in that situation. As a mother, I can honestly say that if my son would have been home, I probably would have shot the guy to protect my son. My hat is off to her for doing what she had to do to protect her child. Im sure that even though she did what she had to do that it will weigh heavy on her heart.  Im sure that most are just glad to finally hear on the news, that a bad guy died in the end and not another story about a family who was murdered in their own home. My heart goes out to her and her family and the family of the guy that she shot.
