Just curious, what's ur opinion on red or blue pits? I have been told that reds catch harder than blues but I have not had any dealings with blues I only have reds. Just wanted some advice from someone that hunts blues and reds, any truth to it or just BS?

MY roomate has a registered Blue Pit that he paid $1200 for as a puppy to breed. Since then he has really gotten into hog hunting with us and now uses him. haha He's almost 2 and catches like a champ. I'll post the story later and pics, but about 2 weeks ago we turned him loose just as the hog broke. It was in a bad lemon thicket.. We finally got to him 15 min l8r, he still caught in a creek on  246# barr

Where color comes in to play is when that was all a dog was bred for.  Lots of folks get hung up on pretty and dont pay enough attention to function.

The blue pitts much like lepord colored dogs get bred a lot because their owners like the way they look, whether they desserve their next meal or not.

When you get a new dog of any kind, get him because of what it or it's parents can do.  Not because it is easy on the eyes. Wink
