Author Topic: Spot and a blonde Caught last week  (Read 1106 times)

Derek called me up and told me he had picked up a new dog. He said that his new dog "Tiger" was suppose to be a good help/Strike dog. So I took my dog Blackie and his son Browning. I also loaded up my catch dog Harley.  Derek and me went to one of our hot spots.  Took blackie about fifteen minutes to find this spotted boar.  He broke and run about 300 yards then the help got there.  Browning and Tiger got there and shut him down long enough for Harley our running catch dog together.  Boar weighed around 250 lbs.

since we didn't hunt very long I told Derek let's run down the road to another spot and hit a little set of woods that normally has some pigs. We dropped the dogs off againand started walking. Took blackie about 30 minutes to find this boar.  He broke and run but tiger found him again in some thick brush. Sent Harley in to finish the deal. This boar weighed 175 lbs

Good hogs there, we had a strawberry blonde boar like that one pictured give us a bad day on Sunday.  I dont know why red hogs have to be such a PITA.
