Cory , Taylor and myself . Got a couple decent hogs today and a couple big big boars got away from us. Need some more Whoa power . My ole blu gyp had about a 250-300 lb boar stopped for atleast a hour and a half by her self while we were busy tending to other hogs and dogs. When we got to her she was 140 yds bayed down but the other dogs were coming up and heard it went in and made the damn hog break before we could get the catch dogs to him after that never got him stopped seen him but never got him stopped . Another one give us the slip ran the dogs threw a pile littler hogs dogs got off on different hogs. Just goes to show you those big'ens will damn show put their tennis shoes on if to much pressure gets on them !!!!!!!!!!!!!   |

Well next time I will go with two cur dogs and two catch dogs and toast his butt! He is not going to stand and face any kind of pressure U put more than two good bay find dogs on him he is going take off like a Rocket he has done it now twice on us. Thats what running BS dogs will do to big bad hogs cause there is another guy that hunts out there from time to time with noting but junk and I know for a fact he has been on him running him before. This is a big big big hog I have now seen him a couple of times and so has Cory and Taylor. He looked waist high to me today and stunk so bad make you gag !

Lol Its not funny, I think we had one run threw at least 4 groups of hogs the other day! Sure makes for a long day!

Don't get me wrong, I love the sound and sight of a good, hard, lose bay... BUT... it sure sounds like you need a few gritty, ballzy, chase em down and catch cur crosses. I know I don't know as much as you about all the dog breeding and such, and which is why I posted on your "advice" about listening. I also remember you saying that you want to kick it old school again  , and get rough. I hope you get that bad boy stopped! Good luck out there! |

Were gonna roll out tonight c what that oll biggin doing that gave us the slip the other night.He ran us through 2 ranches and ran through another herd and gave us the slip.After a few phone calls we were able 2 walk from a locked gate and dogs had 2 bayed up in creek we couldnt get him (the biggin) stopped he just kept wajking with the dogs . I got some decent dogs but u cant win em all anybody who says they do might tell ya a fib!

That's for sure. You're deff not always gona be able to stop everything everytime. Sounds like ya'll are still out there having a blast. A caught hog, is a caught hog in my book. I think it just more interesting the bigger and badder they get.  |

I m from Red River County 90% of the time we start a bay we finish it ,I got some gritty dogs just saying we dont catch every hog we start but ur welcome 2 come on down.

Aw its just a matter of time he will screw up . This comes about seems like bout every year for the last two three years with a bad hog then he messes up and is a caught hog. Your right it just makes it more intrestering its a race to the river almost every time . We catch a lot of hogs just I cant stand for a bigen like that to kick dirt in my face he is big and bad and he did not get that way being stupid so its a game of chess for now.

We had one like that once. Always ran the same way. We always hit him at the same spot and lost him in the same spot. We finally got him though. Took half the dogs to start him and the other half we sent in from the direction he would always run. Hit him from both sides and he did not have a chance. |

i totally agree with u. we all have 1 or 2 like this every year that get by us but when u stay on them u will win, and the victory is sweet. so i say just keep on doing your thing and he will get caught. good luck and cant wait to see his pic.. |
