Ya'll are so right about that. All you ever hear anyone talk about that is "older" is the good old days.... I would have to say I live it vicariously through people like my parents, and their friends. They all say I should have been born in the good ol days. LOL! Ya'll are blessed to be able to say that you've experienced this country in its greatest times. I'm a little jealous... LOL!
jk I would like to try and stick up for this generation a little bit though. There are still "some" good people out there that are my age or close to it. These good people will hopefully carry on the traditions and morals that we were taught by our parents, and so on and so forth. I just really think it is up to both generations not to give up though. Once that happens we really are headed down a one way road. Do you all think there is no recovering from what has already been done???

the usa is not a democracy it is a republic. THE USA IS NOT GETTING "FREER" our freedoms have been eroding since the early 1900's, and it has all been orchestrated as part of a systematic plan.
this country was founded on freedom as opposed to biblical principles. i believe most of the founding fathers were diests and not christian. actually one of the main reasons it was founded was as an escape from certain religious principles and persecutions.
if you can't see that this country is going to numero dos you are a part of the problem. the problem/problems are larger than the grand canyon and a pink colored fish taco the size of bolivia multiplied by 666.

Ok. So I'm not understanding a lot of the post on here though. Everyone of the "older" guys (no offense) is pretty much sounding like this wonderful country is broken, and I agree to a certain extent; but is it broken to the extent of being "totaled"...? If so, what are we all going to do? Sit around and complain about it, or actually do something about it. Right now, besides having another civil war, the only thing you can do is voice your opinion by voting. This was already stated that many people died to give us this right. If we do not choose the right people to lead this country then yes, it is going to go to chit! BUT is it really broken beyond repair??? Are we all just going to do like SCHitemHard said and start living wild west style? I'm sorry, but I agree to a certain extent that this country needs help, but I will not give up on HER, nor can I sit back and believe that we will turn into a third world country. I don't mean to argue, but I would like some clarification on opinions of how this country will prevail and come out of what everyone says is the problem. My dad agrees with the older generation, but I asked him the same thing. We as a younger generation, your successors, need guidance to be able TO prevail. If all of y'all give up now, what are we going to do???

one possibility is that it will recover and fix itself after it goes "wild west"
it is never over until the last person gives up. the force that orchestrated this problem already believes that the usa is dead and they have publicly declared their mission as complete.

Lol! Because you have been to college doesn't mean you believe everything your told there. Most colleges want you to make your own beliefs and choose your own paths. I can't say that I want to have to have a college degree to get a decent paying job, but that seems to be the case across the board. I will say, I don't have a PHD, but I do have a college education. I do not think or believe that I have been brain washed by any means. In fact, college opened my eyes and made me cherish the things that we all hold dear, our freedoms and beliefs! BUT you are deff entitled to your own opinion, and I respect that.

I think America has been faced with a lot worse and she always seems to triumph. The American people will stand proud and united as always. We as Americans have a duty to vote and to be active when it comes to public policy. I also believe that MY generation has taken a pro-active stand in voicing there opinions and taking the opportunity to vote. We have maintained a great deal of dignity and normalcy in our daily life's despite threats by well known terrorists. We have been wasting valuable resources, life's, and great minds to war efforts. These efforts have been long, drawn out, and not nearly as successful as we hoped they would be. We provide a great deal to the needy of the world and yet the worlds hands are still held high and open grasping for freebies from the U.S. Many people in the United States have forgotten what it means to be a HARD WORKING American. Nowadays the piece of paper you get when you graduate college says a lot about a man and his chances of success in the real world. In the "good ole days" it was possible to make a living so to speak without a college degree. It is pretty clear that this is no longer the case. Im not flaunting and im not teasing, Im pointing our mere facts. If the U.S is going to number 2 in your opinion and you have not voted on every piece of legislature that you had access to then consider it the fault of your own. You can expect your lawn to be cut if you dont cut it, you can expect a seed to grow if you dont plant it, you cant expect your children to want success if you dont want success, and you cant expect change if you dont fight for it. Old, young, republican, democrat, liberal, conservative we all need to voice our opinions in order for our country to be a true reflection of us. We need to understand certain legislative purposes and we need not pitty ourselves. If we work together there is nothing we cant accomplish. This has been proven by the American people time and time again.

Im from Upper east side manhattan, id say me being alive means i have a lot of street smart and a fair bit of common sense. I know one things for certain; country boys don't last long out in the city, even with all there experience and self gained knowledge;) Also Id say grown men calling college a laughing matter is a joke in and of it self, if you were a REAL man you would understand how fundamental it is in order to make money in todays day and age.

We could use her in the USA.
Australia says NO -- Second Time she has done this!
She sure isn't backing down on her hard line stance and one has to appreciate her belief in the rights of her native countrymen.
A breath of fresh air to see someone lead. Australian Prime Minister does it again!!
The whole world needs a leader like this!
Prime Minister Julia Gillard - Australia
Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia, as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.
Separately, Gillard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying she supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques. Quote: 'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT... Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.'
'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.'
'We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!'
'Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.'
'We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.'
'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, 'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.'
'If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.'
