Well it's finally official.....I'm 60 years old today!!!!!! Grin I've been lucky enough to have found the sort of hunting that I love at a fairly early age and I've done a lot of it.....not nearly as much as I would have liked to though.

They say that a man is very lucky to have one great dog in his life.....I've had 5....guess that makes me super lucky. Shocked

I was lucky to have 2 parents that loved me and provided for me and took me to church....of that I am supremely grateful. I can only hope to live as long as some of my relatives....my Mom was 96 in Dec., her Dad was 93 when he passed and her brother was 94. So I may be tormenting swine for a long time to come........ Evil

Since I like all you young folks on here and you've been pretty nice to me....lol I thought that I would share some things with you that will make your life soooooo much easier if you'll let them.

1....Treat your friends better than you treat yourself......pays huge rewards!!

2....Know what a true friend is.....this seems to be very difficult for some people...I don't see why....but it does. A true friend will always put you first.....simple as that......remember this.....it's not hard.

3....Don't waste time on people that don't treat you right........they probably never will.

4....If you don't know what to say......shut up.....don't say anything at all. Another hard one for some folks.

5....Never.....NEVER act as if you know it all....no matter what it's about...or how much you really do know.

6....Guys.....ALWAYS.....always....treat all women with dignity and respect.....if you can't, then get away from them. And do not EVER touch a woman in anger.....this is non-negotiable. If you do....her Father may kill you....and rightly so!

7....Girls.....Don't hold what your last boyfriend did to you against us....please. If a guy doesn't treat you with respect.....then get the he!! away from him......for good! You deserve better.

8....Be good to your dogs.....make life easy for them when they're not working. A piece of plywood leaned up against a tree is not a suitable abode for your dog. They work hard for you......and you are duty bound to take good care of them.....if you can't, then don't get any.......simple. Wait until you can take care of them properly before you do.

9....Conduct yourself with dignity and you will get respect. Never....EVER go back on your word. NEVER.

10...Get yourself a copy of the Ten Commandments and put it where you see it daily......it is the best guide for your life that you can possibly find. Live by it.....it's very simple to read and understand.

So there you have it.....Neal's word of wisdom. angel I do appreciate the chance to be a part of this online community and hope that I can be of help to someone while I'm here.

Thanks y'all....I appreciate it....I really do. I am truly one of the wealthiest men alive today.....I have a great family that hunts with me and I have a wealth of friends that I cherish and never take for granted. I just started my 25 year as a fulltime firefighter......so retirement is not long away and I can't wait. God has been good to me no doubt about that. I thank Him daily for His blessings.

Happy 60th birthday firemedic!!! My dad just turned 60 in Dec. You make great points there, but your first point really stuck out to me. It is good to see that someone else puts good time and interest into their friends’ wellbeing.  I wish you many more wonderful years of your good life. God bless!  Grin
