Had a nice surprise last night.....ny wife and step-daughters had a surpsise birthday party for me Grin Grin Grin I haven't had a birthday party since I was a kid so this was a shock and a wonderful surprise as well. I knew that they were gone most of the day doing what they told me was help with a friend's daughter's birthday. My granddaughter and I spent the day together just playing and watching the new Smurf movie. (She's 3 yrs. old.) My sweet wife had all my close friends there and some newer ones as well, plus some of the guys that I work with at the fire dept. I will have to give them credit for being able to keep it a secret.....I never thought they could possibly do it without me catching on but by golly they did. My heart is full this morning....and I feel really loved to have had them do all this work just for me. I am truly one of the richest men in the world. Smiley

Happy birthday sir, I am only a couple years behind you but only started hog hunting 6 years ago. I met some fellows from Texas that keep me coming back. They are the sort you want at your back when tough times come. They live by the things you posted above and I am sure proud to be a part of this fratenity, even if it is only from long distance. Just glad to see that men like you say your peace now and then to give these young men something to think about. Bets of luck in all you do.

Happy B Day Buddy!

Well I am ten years younger 50 and that is one of the best post that has ever been put on this board.  Lots of people should use it as a guide .  Wish you lived closer we would make a few rounds together.
