Man what a great weekend! I hunted 3 days in a row and I have a pup that is 6mo "roscoe" he was really impressing me. I was pretty nerves taking him on a real hunt so I kept him on a leash. Well that worked only half a day... Roscoe caught with the other dogs then he got off his collar and ran step for step with my lead dog and came back after a 500yd run. So I figured screw it let him run with them on day 2 then I lost him. Come to find out he caught a hog with another pack of dogs.... They were great and.gave him back. Then today he went and found bayed then caught his own hog and I was just thinking he was barking lost then I heard a grunt then squeal and I sent my lead dog and but by then roscoe had him himmed up! On top of that he caught the only pig of the day! God this pup is really impressive! Hope I can keep him alive ling enough to see how he turns out he is already getting out 250yds on his own.... Thanks for reading!

Be careful with him man.  Take it easy let him grow some just to keep him safe if he is doing that well.  One big hit can set a young dog back a year .

What breed is he? He is a nice looking pup...looks to have a little hound in him...my favorite color too... :)The best I ever had started showing me some stuff as a little pup and at 4 months was doing pretty good on almost anything I asked of him. he was the same color as your pup but he was 1/2 mtn cur and 1/2 bmc...

He was a buddy of mines breeding. Cur/pit both were hog dogs and both would find there own hogs. But his mother had a Hell of a nose. She looked Luke she had some hound to her. She was a blonde cur his dad was a brindel. This lil dude I watched from when he dropped out of his mother. When my buddy called and said I'm getting rid of all my dogs I about fell over. Now he is wishing he didn't. But lil does he know ill more than likely give him back... Grin.

as he gets older he might get too gritty and might need a running vest...that pitbull blood could make him a little reckless.. Grin keep us posted with his progress...

it sounds like he is a natural...try to keep everything positive when training...and the little things can take the pup to a higher level...
