It's a good day to have a great day!

Got a few more hunts lined up before the week is out but trying to get in the woods as much as possible. 3 hunts as of now, 4 hogs and 3 piglets is the head count as of right now. Had a  great bay in the open this morning, thought I was videoing the whole thing except I forgot to hit the "record" button and been mad at myself all day!

I feel very fortunate that I have a daughter that wants to spend her Spring Break in the woods with her mom and dogs as long as the boyfriend comes along too [Wink]
Here is the proud kid with her own UglyDog (Beauty's 2nd hunt, and her first strike)

Good hunt, Krystal.  My daughter decided to go to the deer lease and hunt with me this weekend, while her mom and gramma go to San Antonio.  We're doing our annual dogs on hogs hunt on the lease this weekend.

Shawn,
That looks like Max the JRT. He is a pretty neat little dog.

Made a round this morning and came up with two good hogs.  Krystal brought a pup and it was the first time on hogs in the woods and I brought Reggie, from Cull Buck, and both did OK.

This is Reggie

This is Beauty and Reggie with Sequoia.

Krystal always gets to post before I can get time to down load pictures.

We had a dry run this morning after we found when they had been, just couldn't get to where they were, call it hunting.
Enjoyed it with the young folks.

Well Thursday produced nothing but some tired feet. However Friday produced 1 boar, 2 sows, and a few piglets.

Thanks for the compliments! I will report back if  Saturday and Sunday produce anything worth repeating but I am going to try and take pictures anyway!

Shawn, that is Max a Jack Russel, circle C is correct. He does not hunt hard as our Jagds do but he is alot of fun to have around, but not all terriers are as easy going as he is or handle the way he does.

Bump, those are only half Dogos  Grin That vest has been around many years and believe it will be around for many more it is a good one! Even if it ain't pretty, I did not have much choice however, Smooch's vest got left in the truck when Thomas went back to work, and well just had use what I had in the box!

Well Saturday night made the land owner pretty happy we caught a good sow that has been tearing up the pasture out behind their house.
Their son and grandson were in for the weekend along with friends and they went along and got to get in some of the action too.

More Spring Breakers

Then Sunday we had to end on a good note and finish out with some pork too. It started off rough, got on hogs pretty quick and dogs split, we went to the closest which old fat dog Sherry had bayed, and the other two bays broke, when Roo came back in she was heat stroked and in bad shape, so we had to get her cooled down and then left her at he truck to go catch 4 more.

Courtney with hogs #3 & #4,

We had started the pit and put some ribs on bfore weleft and added some pork backstrap when we got home and ended Spring Break with a nice dinner. Now time to rest-up a little bit!
