Buddy of mine went this past weekend. Brought 6 hogs back with them, lost a few others. One dog did get cut pretty bad on a 200lber with 4 inch cutters.

Hunted toso all three days. 13 Friday , 5 Saturday , 2 Sunday. That's between 6 of us guys. Hit up fishhole rd. rap around by the cypress knees, couple ponds in there holdin some hogs. Or hit up the north side of the power lines by fish hole rd. Had a good ole boar bayed there with one dog and had two other dogs headin to it but jumped some 80 lbs sals. Seen him but dog caught them sals and he broke bay. Dog took him all the way till Ward ranch and had to call him off.

Plenty of hogs in there to go around. I'll be there Feb.10-12. Can you still camp across from the gate in that field with the radio tower.

Yes you can still camp across the street. I'll get the info on that. It's a WMA and is located off Taylor Creek rd in Christmas ,Fl.

Don't know but I think the guy charges to camp out. I'll find out contact number for yah. I'll be there for the February hunt also so if yah need any thing let me know. This past weekend was good because they caught most of the smaller hogs ( 80 - 175 lbs) and usually not always but in years past the bigger ,toothier hogs come out. Just be on the look out for hog snatchers, dog thieves and garmin collar thieves. Because they are out there. A buddy was headin to check out and a hog bounced off the box and noticed he was short a hog at the scale and went back to pick up/ find it and some kid threw it in his truck and try to check out with it. He didn't get far and was confronted. I tell yah if your dogs are that crappy and you need to snatch a hog that bounced off a truck and bold face lie and say you caught it "Your sorry as tits on a boat hog".

Ohh and don't tie a hog up in a tree to come back to later cuz some one will be sitting there on the ground when you come back and sayin they caught it and stuck but you don't see any of there dogs. Makes yah wonder how sorry pple think.

Other than those mishaps Toso is an awesome WMA to hunt. Along with Seminole ranch also.

That guy that has the campground across from it must make a fortune. He charges an arm and a leg to camp there. But we've always done good at Toso. The 1st and only time me and my buddies tried to hunt seminole ranch we didn't come across anything except for a pissed off Brahma cow that looked like some dogs got a hold of her before we got there and all she wanted to do was kill me and my dogs lol

I went there the first 3 days, we ended up gettin only 4 - but we had a couple stolen bays and one dog caught a sow with someone else's dogs, lol. Saw 9 on the power line on the first day. We had the largest boar/barr caught for the first 3 days @ 174 that was turned into the check station that we caught, way out in the marsh. There's still a crap ton of them out there - hopin to head back mid week

Its a shame the way "hunter ethics" has gone down the tubes here in Florida. Always here these stories of stolen dogs, other guys dumpin dogs on your race or bay,or whatever it may be. Makes a guy almost not want to participate in any pulic hunts. We did go to the GWS hunt last week and had a great time with no complaints. All you can do is just go and enjoy youself and try to avoid any trouble makers. You can usually spot those types from a mile away
