Have some day old pups. Momma dog died. Any advice on trying to hand rear the remaining six pups would be appreciated. Thanks.

man the best advice i can even attempt to give is bottle raising them with some bitches milk you can probably get at any local feed store or co-op...the hard part is their going to need to be fed every few hours or so and take a warm damp rag and wipe their genital area to stimulate what the mother would do to prompt them into using the bathroom...good luck an God bless

Sorry about Magie . Be sure not to over feed. Mabe you could find someone with a bitch with a small litter. Rubb the pups on her pups and her to get the smell on you're pups and mabe she will take them. Or you may just have to hold her down and let them suck. You could go to the sale tommro or saturday and get a pigmy goat and let them suck on her. either way its a pain in the ass. good luck buddy.

I appreciate the help SOUTHERNHOGHUNTER and HOSS. I'd like to say NOSIGHTSNEEDED and his brother are helping me out. These guys have really stepped up to help a fellow in a bind. I am really grateful there are people like them out there. Thank you both very much.

Go to TSC or a farm Co op and get you some Save a Lamb Powdered Milk, it is about 30% protein and about 30% fat and you will have to bottle feed them every few hrs, careful not to overfeed. The truth is you are really up against it!

Just an update. The pups all made it thanks to NOSIGHTSNEEDED and his brother. The female they loaned me took to the pups after a few days and they are on food now at four weeks old. Thanks again guys. Really got me out of a pinch. And thank the rest of ya'll for the advice. It is appreciated.
