I've never lived in a city or been in a bad traffic jam. What does bosses say when you've been jammed up on the interstate for 3 hrs. I've got a buddy from Houston and he says it happens regularly so I'm curious if they could fire you for that.

there has to be a certain percent of people coming in at the same time, with certain percent of phone calls about the wreck or back up and the news will update every 15 mins on the back up. they cant fire you but they will write you up or suspend you if you cant prove the back up or traffic jam

I'll tell you what BA-IV... If they do, I will gladly sit at home doing my IT support and computer sales and collect unemployment from their butts! And smile while doing it... Right now it is a means to an end, And I plan on doing much bigger and better things!

Well, I drive from an hour and a half from my house in the country to the dang city twice a day to deal with all their problems, so it happens so be it! I'm doing my best to get in, and of it isn't good enough for them then they can bite me!

I know the feeling on driving. I was forced to work a job for my company 96 miles from my house one way for almost two months. That drive sucked, but it was all smaller towns and through the woods so it had good scenery.

Well I guess they could, bit can work remotely as well, and I don't make it a habit. I am also on salary so it wouldn't be easy for them to mess with payroll I don't think. Good question... I sure hope they don't. Lol!

LOL! I live in a town called Cash, TX... It doesn't even list the population on the city sign. LOL! I just work in Dallas, and trust me, its a good job, but it isn't the dream... but it pays some of the bills.

I only have a fifteen min drive to work but when I have to go to Houston for something I ponder what makes a person fight something like that day in and out I would be on the five o clock news something about a redneck with road rage. I feel for ya
