when you were a child he took care of you....now it is time to do the best you can..

just remember...the meds and treatment can be rough...and the stage 4 cancer in the brain is not helping...you will have to be like that duck that gets the rainwater on his back...

god bless you both...

My little sister had lung cancer and the meds she was on made her say and do stuff out of character also.  Just keep you head up bro and stay in good faith.  God looking over you and your family.

I know the position where you are at purebreedcolt, my dad went through the same ordeal last year and those meds are crazy on a person.  Just keep your head up and the will wear off.  Prayers sent your way.

PBC,  so sorry to hear what u and your family are going through. As so many have said before, those meds definitely make people hallucinate, think wrong headed thoughts,, you name it, you'll see prayer warrior saints come out of surgery cussing and spittin like pissed off sailors. Also, anytime you have major brain surgery, esp with a tumor involved, you can see changes in personality.  Last, many people will experience " ICU psychosis", kind of a combination of anesthetic and pain drugs, combined with being in a strange environment, really puts some folks on the psychotic train. Hopefully, when you get your dad home, being in familiar settings will help his thinking clear up somewhat. As difficult as it will be, keep your temper, as best u can, take a break and get fresh air as needed, and realize that ain't your Daddy talking to ya like that, it 's a combination of any of the things mentioned. I'll pray that God give you strength to be the calming factor in this situation, that your family members will draw strength and patience from how you react and handle things. And I'll also pray that God clear your Dad's thoughts and words and that the Dad you know and love will be back quickly. Sorry to be so long winded, buddy, but i went through a similiar experience with my Dad. Hang tight.you got alotta prayer lifting you and your family

  PBC,
Lots of us have been in your shoes with loved ones. Its hard to see them so much out of character. Continue to love and support them, and the rest of your family. Know that you and your family are in our prayers.
