All you experienced doggers want to give a newbie your opinion ? Who all runs vests and cut collars on their bay dogs ? My bay dogs will try to catch, although we don't get on hogs very often like you all. I have never used collars or vests. I was told by a couple old doggers when I was gettin started that vests and collars can get your dog killed by not bein able to maneuver or by getting hung in brush. Now my dogs have gotten poked a couple times but like I said I don't get on hogs as often as you all. We just don't have em here. The hogs I have caught have not had mucch tooth on em. Just wanted some professional opinions, I'm always thinkin its gona happen sooner or later and Ill wish I had the gear !?!? Let me hear it !

I run collars on every dog, cut vests on catch dog, and unless the dog is real rough I won't put a bay vest on em. That's just me.
