Bring cold drinks, help put up dogs at the end of the night and help pay for fuel...

Thanks off top... But a cooler full of cold free beer after the hunt is always good!  Grin And I feel that it should be a given to help with the dogs and such. Many hands make light work. JMO

X2 on that. And afterwards respect those that invited you. Don't go back and hunt that spot without them. Even if its public !

Well it seems as though I'm on the right path!  Grin I don't get invited offten because I really don't know a lot of people but I just wanted to make sure that I let the host know I appreciate the hunt. I had a cooler of beer paid for the boat gas and I never ever take another man's spot a huge no no in my eyes! But Hell I hope he likes bud lite if not I got a cooler full of beer to my self! Cheesy maybe I hope he don't like beer Haha thanks guys any thing else u could think of let me know.

If someone comes to hunt with me and they DON'T bring beer, they better go home or go get some!

FL Hogdogger...could that be some Sonny's sweet tea.Huh? A good gesture to me is a guy that tags along better stay awake.  A couple of years I ago I invited a neighbor kid ( he was 17) to hunt with me.  I was the one to get up early, load the 4 wheelers and dogs, and all the other stuff.  Then I would drive to his house pick him up then we would go hunting.  Everytime we would go, he would fall a sleep on the way home.

As long as your not one of those who take advantage of someone using there gas never paying, hunting their land without them, not contributing to food..drinks..beer...snuff whatever it may be, trying to bring "hog dogs" that stand around your feet which tell other dogs it's ok to do that making them not hunt as well...trying out the 4x4 on the way in and out! Talking constantly while waiting for the dogs to bay, scared to leg a hog, messing with another mans dogs, and not least but not least thanking them for allowing you to go... DON'T SO THEM AND YOU'LL BE FINE my MAIN thing is messing with another mans dogs! A lot of people including myself don't like that... That covers it! Grin Wink

after the hunts good, thought u was talkin bout lets all gets drunk while your dogs are out and have a big yee haw. thats the way alotta guys do it around here in arkansas, it makes me sick. i dont drink nothin before or after, or ever. and i try not to surround myself with ppl that act dumb or drink too much. he asked what a good gesture was and i just gave my opinion on the drinkin. if i invited someone and they chipped in on gas, a bag of dog food, break stick in hand, leads, hobbles, all that would be awesome, but completely out of character from anyone most anyone around my town ahaha!
