One of my catch dogs had pups last week and out of 10 one died. Well everything been goin fine till last night and I noticed there were only 2. Does anybody no why or what I can do to stop her from eating them?

Good luck with it mine did the same thing and she was no where near other dogs lost the whole litter.

Either the she felt threatened, of there was something wrong with the pups that she sensed. I'd try a dark secluded area and if not pull the pups and bottle feed em all you can do really.. Goodluck sorry to hear that If u do bottle feed, goats milk works the best according to my vet

had one do the same thing lost all of them best thing i can say is get her away from other dogs and low light not total dark for more than two days its a nerve thing it sucks sorry to hear about it.

take the last 2 pups away from her and put them together when you can watch them to eat until they get a little bigger

only dog ive ever bred did this ended up bottle feeding one and ill b damed if it wasnt blind n deaf, this was 1 saved out of 13 btw

was this the first litter for her ? had my old walker eat her first litter it's not that uncomman for first time moms . she raised a good healthy second litter a few years later .
