Beulah struck, trailed, jumped, and bayed this sow by herself until Pistol went to the bay. Steve's dog Lucy who has never seen a hog also went to the bay. Lucy bayed good while the other 2 caught out. Randy stuck it, and got his pic snapped for the photo album.

Herb sent Ramsey in to us. We walked in the direction of where Beulah jumped. Sure enough a boar had been there too. We could smell his musky smell when we entered the area. The dogs rolled out on him for a good ways before my 2 hounds pulled out about .7 miles. We drove as far as we could. At 800 yards, I started calling them in. Beulah made her way to me. Ramsey, however, would not budge. She began working back to the left. When I was able to get about 550 yards from her, I hit the bush to retrieve her. She would not come in, but kept showing bayed on the Astro 320. I began to hear her baying. I walked in to a hog bedding area where she had a nice young boar bayed up. He flat out stunk. She was working him good. He would charge, and she would retreat and spin on him. She worked his front well enough to place a pistol shot into his skull. He fell to his knees, and Ramsey dove on to his ear. The guys came in to help drag, and took a pic for me. She had held him bayed by herself for about 40 minutes.

Open dogs can't stop hogs! So who was the cur dog man that sold you those hogs. Lol

Good hunt Josh! I'm looking forward to the day I get to see your hounds run again!
