Some of you may know that I purchased Lavon Davis' dogs as a package when he sold out a couple weeks ago. I have since hunted them and made a decision on the ones that I will be keeping.  Realize that I have only owned these dogs for a short time, I do not know everything about their history, how they hunt, etc.  I can relay what I have been told and what I have observed in the short time that I have owned them. None of these dogs would be for sale, except for the fact that I already owned some good dogs, and had to make a decision on what to keep between Lavon's pack and my own.

Jeckyl - Rig dog deluxe - untold number of hogs under his belt. I am told that he is best used as a straight rig dog, and that he will open up some on a hot track. He will ride the hood of the truck, wheeler, or wind from the bed of the truck. Lavon considered him the most powerful dog in the package, and the best rig dog he has ever owned. This opinion has also been voiced by several others who have hunted behind Jeckyl. We have observed him to be easy going with a good handle. $1000.00

Yella - Big block headed yellow cur - all catch, no bark - no aggression whatsoever, he has been led and handled by my 8 year old daughter. Strong bite, no regripping, has caught on ear each time for us. $300.00 firm

Arthur - ~7 month old BMC male (sorta looks like a light saddleback) This dog is a Buck son, and I am told he should make a dog.  He is a little timid, but has settled in well at the house. Takes a bit to warm up to new people and dogs.  This dog is a clean slate and ready to be started.  $200.00

I spoke with Lavon this morning, and he said that if any one has any questions about the dogs for sale that you can call him and he will tell you anything you need to know about the dogs listed above.

Will accept any reasonable offer on the rig dog. He does not really have a place in my pack, but is too good of a dog to live out his life on the end of a chain not hunting.  I do recommend contacting Lavon to find out the details of how Jeckyl hunts to see if he will work for you. My understanding is that he really shines in the marsh and grain fields, and I don't hunt much of either.

Jeckyl is sold - the man is coming to pick him up Friday morning. If something falls through I will let you know.

Here are the pictures of Yella the catch dog.

Pretty sure he is around 3 years old. If you are interested I can make a call and confirm his age.
