This pup is not started on anything, by my definition of "started". This pup is certainly not trash broke at 7 months old. I personally don't discourage running anything except deer/livestock until the dog has seen lots of skunks, armadillos, coons, etc. They gotta learn thier way around and learn what game is before they get scolded. They need time in the woods before they start learning a task. If they are packing the right stuff, they are gonna run deer, jacks, skunks, dillos, possums, coons, etc. It's just that simple. I could lie and say this pup is started on hogs and you could dump him in with your dogs or take him where there are hogs and he would run the piss out of them and you wouldnt know any different. Seems like there is a lot of that happening these days. Although this pup is " Big Game Bred " I think there is a need to point out that while he is no doubt "gritty" I don't think he is "rough". There is a big difference. He may grow up to be Mike Tyson but I don't think this pup would excel baying/catching hogs as well as he would running them to death. From what I understand that isn't ideal. It is important to me to share that with you. I would rather undersell than oversell. Otherwise, I think this pup would do far greater than average at any game you put him on. Seems like I am getting asked the same questions and I just want to make sure someone knows what they are buying. Lots of different hunters on this website. In a world of 300$ culls, he is still 500$ picked up at my house in La Grange, TX. tom.cantwell@lcra.org / 512-903-2686
