AMPHIBIOUS VEHICLES

        I was wondering if anyone out there has ever owned or hunted hogs out of a 6x6 or 8x8 amphibious vehicle. Ive been thinking about getting one but cant decide if I really need it or if I just think it will be cool to have one. I might be better off just getting a Mule or Ranger. If anybody has any input on how feasible they are to hog out of then I would appreciate it if you would share your opinion.

Rough ride. Steer like a skid steer, so usually jerks u around whenever u turn, esp if u ridimg n back.  No suspension, but they will get across slop' . N water they are painfully slow, but have a transom so u can mount a little outboard if u plan to b n water alot. Look pretty expensive, if i was gonna spend that much, i'd get a polaris. Or rhino or john deere side by side.

If it were me, i would have to look at how often i would have actually use the water fording set up. I guess if u lived near a lake n u hav to cross wide or deep sections of water then it may b usefull for u.

I have a max IV with tracks.  It's great for going where no 4 wheeler can go.  I am poor and had to buy an old one (1991) so it stays broken down. If a man were to buy a new one he would probably love it for hog hunting.  I personally don't have that kind of money!

   The one Im looking at is also used. The new ones cost way to much. The oilfield pays pretty decent, but not that good ! If im going to spend that kind of money for hog hunting then Ill spend it on dogs.

Dad had one and it was lots of flats more flats andyour right again some more flats!
