My local farm and ranch store stopped carrying the original bayer stuff. This is as close as what i could find that indicates that it rids of fleas and ticks. It says to treat every 30 days instead of every year like the other said. Is it safe to use?

Do you all have Sevin Dust out there? That is what we used to use and I also buy Paramite Cattle/Swine rub then dilute it down one tbsp per gallon, pour it on and rub it in I think it has a 6 month residual.

We do, it comes in a gallon but it says in the fine print in all caps NOT FOR USE ON ANIMALS. It's also in liquid form. I don't mind doing it every month, would rather do it that way, same time I worm, I am just wondering if this is ok.

I would not use that product. The Bayer Advanced Tree and Shrub contains only Imidacloprid (1.47%) as the active ingredient which is the same as whats in Advantage and K-9 Advantix (9.1%). The product you've posted the picture of also contains an insecticide B-Cyfluthrin.

Hunt around and find the "Bayer Advanced Tree and Shrub". Active ingredient on the front of the bottle will say "Imidacloprid - 1.47%" Use 4.3 ml per 10 lbs of dogs weight from the base of the neck to the tip of the tail once a month when having flea/tick probs. You'll be using and dosing the exact same as you would be using Advantage.

Ortho makes a tree and shrub without the fertilizer. I get mine at Home Depot!

Feed means it contains fertilizers. Keep searching around...you'll find the right one.
