Have any of u ever had a Garmin 220 give u a false reading. I was hunting last night and the dogs had a bay going on at around 350. Then they went out like .6 but one of them was still at 375. Showed moving but not going anywhere. Got to where he was supposed to be and no dog. Called looked and nothing. Said we were right on top of him. So left and went to the bay that was still around 700 away. Half way there it shows him at the bay then he comes back to me at around 350 and would not go back to the bay till we were like at 100 from it. This dog is my best strike dog and has never quite me before. Was thinking maybe got knocked out at the first bay and then was in a dizzy. What do yawl think

Had a long range cur gyp show treed at 1.2 miles which was normal so we went to her and never heard anything. We walked to the exact location of where it said she was and no dog, we thought she had been killed. We looked everywhere and nothing. She ended up coming back to where we turned loose at and her collar had somehow been turned off but it was still showing treed the same as before. They act funny sometimes, just technology I guess.

I have had similar problems showing a dog running but never moves. Every time so far it has been low communication between the garmin and collar. If I which to a long range antenna or move to get better signal it starts acting right again. Seems like it was just out of range but not enough to completely loose communication.

thanks for the info, but what yawl think made him not want to go to the bay. he has never been like that he is kinda rough. now he did get cut pretty bad around four weeks ago and this was his second time out sience then. i dont no these dogs and garmins drive me nuts. im just glade we got the hog and every thing came out good. the boar weighed around 225 or so was real fun. and glade the doge didnt get hurt.

mine keeps erasing all data.you turn it on and and all the collars are gone all marked locations everything.put them back and it might be good for 2 or 3 hunts and it does it again.
